Office Chair Exercise Tutorial
Here are some exercise tutorials that can be done on an office chair to help relieve physical fatigue caused by prolonged sitting:

Chair Yoga Twist
This exercise primarily targets the waist and spine. Sit on the office chair and shift your body slightly forward to ensure you can grasp a suitable position. Place one hand on the side of your body and the other hand on the outside of the opposite foot, maintaining a static posture. During breathing, inhale deeply to fill your chest with air, and as you exhale, twist your body backward, looking diagonally backward. After completing the movement on one side, repeat on the other side. When performing the movement, the other hand can be placed on the side to apply opposing force while deepening the exhale. This exercise effectively mobilizes the waist joints, enhances the flexibility of the spine, and relieves tension in the waist muscles.
Head Movements
Head movements can relax the neck muscles and improve blood circulation in the neck. First, lower your head so that your chin touches your throat, then tilt your head back. Next, turn your head as far to the right as possible, nod three times, and then repeat the same movement to the left. Repeat the entire set of movements 10 times. Additionally, you can perform resistance exercises by placing your right hand above your right ear to resist your head as you lean to the right, gently pushing back with your hand, then returning to the starting position. Repeat this movement with your hand placed above your left ear, performing the entire set of movements 8 times.
Breathing Exercises
Sit upright on the chair and try to relax your body as much as possible, focusing on moving your diaphragm for deep breathing. Inhale actively to make your abdomen slightly rise; exhaling is a passive movement that should be slow and thorough until all the air is expelled, allowing your body to enter a completely relaxed state. Repeat this movement 5 times. Through this deep breathing method, you can regulate your body's nervous system, relieve tension, increase oxygen supply, and improve your body's metabolic level.
Shoulder and Waist Relief Exercises
- Movement One: Place both hands on the armrests of the office chair, keep your feet together and straight, and stretch your toes flat. First, separate your legs and then bring them back together, maintaining flat toes and straight feet throughout the process. After that, change the movement by lifting one foot up and the other foot down. This exercise strengthens the leg muscles while also gently moving the waist and shoulders through leg movements, relieving fatigue in these areas.
- Movement Two: Cross your palms, separate your legs, press your palms down as far as possible, and lower your head as far as possible. Relax your entire body and close your eyes for ten seconds to allow blood to flow into your brain. Then sit up straight and relax for ten seconds before continuing to press down. You will clearly feel the blood flowing into your head, and your spine will be relieved as you bend forward and extend.
