Office Chair Employee Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation process for office chairs and employee chairs is as follows:

I. Checking the Goods Upon receiving the goods, carefully check the parts list to ensure all components are present. Typically, this includes: 1 backrest, 1 headrest, 1 pair of armrests, 1 five-star base, decorative cover (included with steel bases), 7 thick screws, 6 short screws (thin screws), and 5 wheels. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the merchant promptly for replacements.

II. Installing the Chair Wheels and Gas Lift

  1. Insert each of the 5 wheels into the assembly holes of the five-star base, ensuring they fit snugly to prevent looseness.
  2. Flip the five-star base over and align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the base. Place it vertically and press gently to secure it. The gas lift is a crucial component for adjusting the seat height, so ensure it is installed firmly.

III. Securing the Base and Seat Cushion

  1. Place the base on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the base's orientation (usually indicated by markings or grooves for alignment) and align it with the 4 screw holes.
  2. Insert the 4 thick screws into the holes one by one, first tightening them lightly for 3-4 turns to ensure correct positioning, then tightening them fully to prevent the base from tilting or becoming loose.

IV. Connecting the Seat Cushion and Gas Lift Align the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and insert it vertically into the base hole, ensuring a tight connection between the gas lift and the seat cushion. Some chairs may require gently pressing down on the seat cushion to fully embed it.

V. Installing the Backrest and Armrests

  1. Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat cushion. After insertion, use 2 short screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets.
  2. Align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion brackets. Use two wrenches to tighten the screws, locking the backrest and seat cushion brackets together to ensure a firm and wobble-free connection.
  3. Press the button below the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets. A clicking sound indicates that they are properly installed.

VI. Securing the Headrest Place the headrest in the middle of the top of the backrest and press down on the headrest installation area to make it fit snugly against the backrest. Insert 2 short screws through the headrest's fixing clips, first tightening them lightly for 3-4 turns to adjust the position, then tightening them fully to ensure the headrest remains stable and does not fall off.

Precautions:

  • Use the provided tools (such as wrenches and screwdrivers) during installation to avoid damaging components with excessive force.
  • Tighten the screws in stages, first securing them loosely and then fully tightening them to prevent component misalignment.
  • If the decorative cover for the steel base is not installed, gently tap the edge of the cover with a rubber mallet to embed it.
