Office Chairs Are Easy to Clean
Admin October 12, 2026
The cleaning methods for office chairs vary depending on their materials and structures, requiring targeted treatment to ensure effective cleaning and avoid damage.

Caster Cleaning
- Hair Entanglement Handling: If the casters are entangled with hair, carefully cut the hair with small scissors to avoid directly pulling and damaging the casters.
- Dirt Cleaning: Wet a used facial towel and let it air-dry. Use its textured surface to wipe the wheel surface. Secure the facial towel to the wheel with a rubber band, sit on the chair, and move back and forth to transfer dirt to the facial towel through friction.
- Dirt Prevention: When attaching invisible tape to the caster surface, keep the tape surface wrinkled to increase friction and prevent the wheels from accelerating dirt accumulation due to excessive smoothness.
Mesh Office Chair Cleaning
- Initial Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove dust from the mesh gaps to prevent the spread of stains during subsequent cleaning.
- Cleaner Application: Dilute the cleaner and spray it on the chair, or pour it directly into a watering can for even spraying to ensure stains are covered.
- Soaking for Stain Removal: Let the cleaner sit for 5-10 minutes to allow stains to detach from the fibers for easier subsequent cleaning.
- Deep Extraction Cleaning: Alternate between using a sauna machine and a high-temperature cleaner at least twice to decompose stubborn stains with high-temperature steam while sterilizing and disinfecting.
- Water Absorption and Drying: Use a water absorber to dry the cleaned water, which can shorten the drying time and prevent the mesh from deforming due to moisture.
Cleaning of Other Material Office Chairs
- Fabric Chairs: For surface-only stains, gently wipe with a damp towel to avoid fading from scrubbing; for deep cleaning, use a diluted cleaner and rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning, then dry the moisture.
- Leather Chairs: Wipe away dust with a soft towel. For stains on the surface, gently wipe with a damp towel, then dry the moisture and let it air-dry naturally to avoid cracking of the leather due to direct sunlight.
- Solid Wood Chairs: Wipe the surface dust with a dry towel and clean the gaps with a cotton swab; for oil stains, apply a special cleaner, rinse with an appropriate amount of water, and dry to prevent moisture from penetrating and causing the wood to swell.
Special Cleaning Methods
- Overall Deep Cleaning: Requires processes such as scrubbing, pre-treatment, focused stain treatment, water circulation cleaning, and steam deep sterilization and disinfection, suitable for office chairs that have not been cleaned for a long time or have severe stains.
- Quick Cleaning: Using a fabric cleaner can instantly extract deep-seated sewage, reducing drying time by 40%, suitable for scenarios where immediate use is required.
