Easy Installation of Office Chairs

Admin October 11, 2026

The easy installation of office chairs can be completed in three steps: basic assembly process, accessory installation details, and tools and precautions. Functional upgrades should be performed after confirming model compatibility.

I. Basic Assembly Process

  1. Install Wheels and Gas Lift: Align the casters with the slots on the five-star base and press firmly until fully seated; then vertically insert the gas lift (height adjustment rod) into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring the bottom fits snugly against the base.
  2. Secure Base and Seat Plate: Align the base (containing height and tilt adjustment components) with the top of the gas lift and press gently until the latch locks; use a screwdriver to secure the base and seat plate through the pre-drilled holes, tightening the screws step by step to avoid stripping.
  3. Connect Backrest Frame: Align the backrest frame with the angle brackets or supports at the rear of the seat plate and secure with screws; some models require additional installation of black decorative buttons or diamond-shaped decorative plates, which should be installed according to the positions marked in the instructions.

II. Accessory Installation Details

  1. Armrest Installation:
    • Confirm the direction of the armrests (usually marked with โ€œL/Rโ€) to avoid incorrect installation that may cause inconvenience;
    • Align the holes on the armrests with those on the sides of the seat plate, initially tighten the screws by hand, and then reinforce with tools to prevent hole misalignment.
  2. Base Reinforcement:
    • After manually tightening the connecting screws between the base and the five-star base, further tighten with a wrench or screwdriver;
    • Install foot glides (anti-slip) and end caps (to cover screw holes) to enhance aesthetics and stability.
  3. Backrest and Seat Cushion Connection:
    • If the backrest needs to be fixed with angle brackets, ensure the contact surfaces between the angle brackets, seat plate, and backrest are flat;
    • Some models require installation of elastic clips or springs, which should be adjusted according to the instructions to prevent backrest looseness.

III. Tools and Precautions

  1. Tool Preparation: Screwdrivers (Phillips/flat-head), wrench, rubber mallet (for assisting clip installation); some models require an Allen wrench, so check the contents of the accessory kit in advance.
  2. Operating Procedures:
    • Screw tightening sequence: First secure the diagonal screws, then tighten each one individually to prevent tilting of the base or backrest;
    • After installing the gas lift, test the height adjustment function to ensure there is no jamming or abnormal noise;
    • Refer to video tutorials or the instruction manual before installation; some models will label the purposes of screws (e.g., โ€œbase fixation,โ€ โ€œarmrest connectionโ€).
  3. Functional Upgrades:
    • If adding accessories such as headrests or lumbar supports, first confirm whether the chair model supports expansion (e.g., by checking the accessory compatibility list on the official website);
    • Headrest installation usually requires inserting a bracket at the top of the backrest, while lumbar support installation requires securing it at the connection between the seat plate and backrest, with angle adjustments made according to the corresponding tutorials.

Tip: If issues such as mismatched holes or screws that cannot be inserted occur during installation, stop operations immediately and contact after-sales service to avoid damaging components through forced installation.
