Office Chair Bracket Fixing
Admin October 12, 2026
The core steps for fixing an office chair bracket involve sequentially installing the chair wheels, gas lift, base, seat cushion, and backrest, and securing them with corresponding screws. Additionally, it is necessary to select appropriate footrest accessories according to requirements.

I. Basic Bracket Installation
- Connecting Chair Wheels to Five-Star Footrest: Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-star footrest, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and free from looseness. This step requires checking the flexibility of the wheels to prevent rotation obstruction due to improper installation.
- Positioning the Gas Lift: Flip the five-star footrest so that the wheels face downward, and vertically place the thicker end of the gas lift against the center hole of the five-star footrest. The gas lift is a crucial component for adjusting the seat height, so it must be perfectly aligned with the center of the footrest to prevent offset or wobbling during subsequent use.
II. Fixing the Base and Seat Cushion
- Pre-installing the Base: Place the base on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to distinguishing the front and back directions (usually, the base has markings or grooves corresponding to the seat cushion structure). After aligning the four screw holes, first screw in four B screws individually for 3-4 turns to ensure initial positioning of the base and seat cushion, then tighten all screws sequentially. This step requires avoiding tightening a single screw at once to prevent the base from tilting.
- Connecting the Seat Cushion to the Gas Lift: Align the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and insert it, ensuring that the gas lift is fully embedded in the base hole. After insertion, gently press down on the seat cushion to test its stability and confirm that there is no looseness or abnormal noise.
III. Assembling the Backrest and Armrests
- Initial Fixing of the Backrest: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the installation slots on the armrests of the seat cushion, insert vertically, and then use two C screws to pass through from the bottom of the armrest brackets to fix the bottom of the backrest. This step requires checking the perpendicularity of the backrest to the seat cushion to avoid tilting that affects comfort.
- Locking the Back of the Backrest: Align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with the corresponding holes on the seat cushion brackets, and use D screws with two wrenches for dual-lock fixing. Dual-locking ensures that the screws are evenly stressed and prevents loosening after long-term use.
IV. Accessory Selection and Precautions
- Footrest Accessories: Choose the style of the footrest according to the usage scenario. For example, an aluminum alloy four-star footrest is suitable for a lightweight office environment, while a five-star footrest provides stronger stability and is suitable for scenarios that require frequent movement or high load-bearing capacity.
- Screw Tightening: All screws should be tightened in stages (pre-tighten first, then fully fix) to prevent bracket deformation due to unilateral force.
- Safety Inspection: After installation, comprehensively check the stability of the connections between all components and test whether the functions of the gas lift adjustment, wheel rotation, and backrest adjustment are normal.
