Office Chair and Boss Chair Warranty

Admin October 09, 2026

The warranty periods for office chairs and boss chairs vary depending on the product type and brand positioning. The national regulation stipulates a one-year warranty period for ordinary chairs, which serves as the legal minimum. Here are the common warranty periods in the market:

Warranty Periods for Different Types of Chairs

  • Ordinary Office Chairs/Home Chairs: Most of them adhere to the national standard, with a warranty period of one year. Common ordinary home leisure chairs and dining chairs with relatively simple structures usually have a warranty period of 1 to 2 years.
  • Ergonomic Chairs: Due to their high positioning and price, brands generally offer longer warranty periods to demonstrate their confidence in quality. A warranty period of 3 to 5 years is common in the market. For some high-end brands, the warranty for core components or the entire chair can reach 10 years. Some high-end brands also offer a 5-year or even a lifetime warranty (the lifetime warranty usually only applies to the frame structure, while fabrics and accessories are still covered by the regular warranty period).
  • High-End Office Chairs: They provide a relatively long warranty for core structural components such as the frame, gas lift, and base, while offering a shorter warranty for easily damaged parts like fabrics and casters. Some first-tier brands offer extended warranties for core components separately. For example, the gas lift of many high-end office chairs from certain brands comes with a 5-year warranty.
  • Gaming Chairs: The warranty period is generally 2 to 3 years, and some high-end models can have a warranty of 5 years or more.

Warranty Coverage

It mainly covers quality issues caused by material or workmanship defects (i.e., manufacturing defects). Consumers have the right to request free repairs, replacements, or returns. However, the following situations are usually not covered by the warranty: damage caused by improper use by consumers (such as overloading or impact); normal wear and tear and aging of the product (such as the sagging of fabric seat cushions and the wear of casters); unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification by consumers without the manufacturer's authorization; and damage caused by force majeure such as fire and flood.

Commencement Date

The warranty period starts from the date of invoice issuance. If consumers fail to obtain an invoice, the date stated on the sales voucher (such as a receipt or electronic order) shall prevail.
