Office Chair Bench Installation

Admin October 11, 2026

The installation steps for regular office chairs are as follows, but for 'bench'-type office chairs (such as tandem or multi-person seats), refer to the product manual or contact after-sales service for targeted guidance:

  1. Install casters and chair legs Insert the five rollers (casters) one by one into the assembly holes of the five-pronged chair legs, ensuring that each caster is fully embedded and not loose. This step requires checking whether the casters rotate flexibly to avoid subsequent use issues caused by improper installation.

  2. Install the gas lift Place the thicker end of the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair leg, ensuring that the gas lift is vertically aligned with the chair leg. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, and care must be taken to avoid tilting or misalignment during installation, as this may affect the lifting function.

  3. Secure the base and seat Use screws (such as 4 B-type screws) to fix the base to the bottom of the seat. The screws should be tightened step by step: first, lightly tighten them 3-4 turns, and then gradually tighten them until fully secured. This step requires ensuring that the base and seat are firmly connected to avoid wobbling during subsequent use.

  4. Connect the seat to the gas lift Align the base hole at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift, insert it vertically, and rotate it slightly to ensure that the seat and gas lift are fully engaged. After insertion, check whether the seat is level to avoid tilting due to installation errors.

  5. Install the backrest Insert the bottom of the backrest into the armrest positions on both sides of the seat and secure it with screws:

    • Use 2 C-type screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets;
    • Then use D-type screws to lock the backrest and seat cushion brackets together, ensuring a firm connection between the backrest and seat. Pay attention to the corresponding positions of the screws in this step to avoid incorrect installation that may cause the backrest to loosen.
  6. Install the armrests and headrest

    • Armrests: Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the bracket holes, use screws (such as 2 M6*20mm screws with washers) to secure the upper and lower parts, and finally install the decorative covers. Ensure that the armrests are at the same height during installation to avoid tilting to the left or right.
    • Headrest: Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest and use screws (such as 2 E-type screws or M6*30mm screws) to pass through the fixing clips and tighten them. After installing the headrest, adjust the angle to ensure it meets ergonomic requirements.

Precautions:

  • It is recommended to install from the bottom up (casters โ†’ chair legs โ†’ gas lift โ†’ seat โ†’ backrest โ†’ armrests โ†’ headrest) to avoid operational difficulties caused by component obstruction.
  • The screws should be tightened step by step, first lightly tightening them 3-4 turns and then gradually tightening them to prevent component deformation caused by excessive force on one side.
  • If installing a 'bench'-type office chair (such as a tandem or multi-person seat), due to its complex structure and the lack of specific steps in the search results, it is recommended to refer to the product manual or contact after-sales service for targeted guidance.
