Office Chair Basic Installation
The basic installation steps for an office chair are as follows:

I. Preparation Before Installation
An office chair typically consists of components such as chair legs, casters, a base, a seat, a gas lift, a backrest, armrests, and a headrest. Before installation, ensure that all parts are complete and check for any damage or missing items. It is recommended to choose a flat and spacious area for operation to prevent parts from scattering or being damaged during the installation process.
II. Step-by-Step Installation from Bottom to Top
Install Chair Legs and Casters
Align each caster (swivel wheel) with the mounting holes on the chair legs and press firmly or secure with screws (some casters require screw reinforcement). Ensure that all casters are installed securely to prevent loosening or detachment during subsequent use.
Note: If the chair legs are star-shaped, insert the gas lift (pneumatic rod) vertically into the center hole of the chair legs and tighten the bottom screw by hand (some models may require tool reinforcement).Secure the Gas Lift
Insert the gas lift (pneumatic rod) vertically into the center of the chair legs, ensuring full contact between the gas lift and the chair legs. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the chair's height, so it must be kept vertical during installation to prevent abnormal lifting function due to tilting.Assemble the Seat and Base
Align the base with the mounting holes on the bottom of the seat and secure it with silver screws (usually provided as a set). The base is the key component connecting the seat to the gas lift, so ensure that the screws are tightened to prevent loosening during subsequent use.Connect the Backrest to the Seat
Align the mounting holes on the backrest with the fixing positions on the rear of the seat and connect them with screws or clips. Some backrests require screw reinforcement, so tighten all screws according to the instructions to ensure that the backrest is stable and does not wobble.
III. Install Armrests and Headrest
Install Armrests
Align the armrests with the mounting holes on both sides of the seat and secure them with screws. Pay attention to the symmetry of the left and right armrests during installation to avoid installing them backward. After tightening the screws, gently shake the armrests to confirm their stability.
Tip: Some armrests require height or angle adjustment, which can be done according to your needs after installation.Install Headrest
Insert the connecting rod of the headrest into the mounting hole at the top of the backrest and adjust the height or angle as needed. Some headrests require screw fixation, so follow the instructions to ensure stability.
IV. Final Inspection and Adjustment
After installation, check that all screws are tightened and that all components are securely connected. Sit on the chair and test functions such as lifting, rotation, and reclining to ensure they are working properly. Adjust the armrests and headrest to a comfortable position. If any abnormalities are found, recheck the installation steps or contact after-sales service.
