Office Chair Always Reclines Back
An office chair that always reclines back can be resolved by adjusting the recline resistance, recline angle, checking sitting posture and the chair, and solving the issue of the recline getting stuck. Details are as follows:

Adjusting the recline resistance: The recline resistance of an office chair usually needs to be adjusted according to the user's weight. If the user is relatively heavy and the chair's recline resistance is set too low, it is easy for the chair to recline and drop backward. Conversely, if a lighter person has the resistance set too high, reclining will be strenuous. When adjusting, find the resistance adjustment device at the bottom of the chair, which is commonly a knob or a paddle. Rotate the device clockwise or counterclockwise to the appropriate gear according to the instructions in the manual. Generally, the heavier the weight, the higher the resistance gear should be set.
Adjusting the recline angle: Most office chairs control the recline angle through a gas lift or a spring system. Locate the control lever or knob under the seat. Pulling out the control lever unlocks the angle, and then you can adjust the backrest to the desired angle according to your needs. After adjustment, push the control lever back in to fix the angle. Some high-end office chairs may be equipped with a multi-gear locking function, allowing you to select a preset angle by rotating the knob, which is more convenient to use.
Checking sitting posture and the chair: Incorrect sitting posture can also cause an office chair to always recline back. If the seat depth of the chair is too large and the user sits too far forward with their backๆฌ็ฉบ (hanging in the air), the body will naturally slide backward. In this case, adjust your sitting posture to make your waist touch the backrest. If there is a gap between your waist and the backrest, you can stuff a lumbar support or a rolled-up towel to fill it. In addition, you can slightly tilt the backrest angle forward to an angle between 90 - 100 degrees to avoid reclining too deeply.
Solving the issue of the recline getting stuck: If the backrest cannot recline, first check the operating lever on the side of the chair, usually a black pull lever, and ensure it is in the pulled-out state. If the lever is pulled out but the backrest still cannot recline, there may be a jam in the internal mechanical structure. You can try gently shaking the backrest or repeatedly pulling the operating lever to restore its flexibility. If the problem still persists, there may be a malfunction in the gas lift or the spring system, and you need to contact after-sales service for repair.
