Installation of Office Chair with Aluminum Alloy Four Legs
Admin October 08, 2026
The installation of the four aluminum alloy legs of an office chair should be carried out according to the following process, combining general steps with the characteristics of aluminum alloy materials:

I. Component Verification
Prepare the following components in advance:
- Main Components: Aluminum alloy chair legs (four legs), backrest support (if designed separately), seat cushion, armrests (if any).
- Connectors: Screws (usually hexagon socket screws or large white screws), nuts, washers. Some aluminum alloy chairs may be equipped with special connectors (such as dovetail slots, screw rods, or angle irons).
- Tools: Hexagon socket wrench (matching the screw specifications), screwdriver, and optional washers. Note: If any components are missing or damaged, contact the seller for replacement to avoid structural instability caused by forced installation.
II. Installation Steps
Chair Leg Connection
- Insert the aluminum alloy chair legs into the corresponding holes on the base, ensuring that the grooves are aligned (if designed separately).
- Secure them with screws and nuts. When tightening, ensure that the four legs are evenly stressed to avoid tilting. Since aluminum alloy is relatively hard, it is recommended to use a hexagon socket wrench to prevent screw slippage.
Backrest Installation
- If the backrest is separate from the chair legs, align the backrest support with the holes at the rear end of the chair body and adjust the front-back position of the backrest through the elongated holes (adjust the tilt according to needs).
- When tightening the screws, the aluminum alloy structure may require special screw rods or angle irons for reinforcement to enhance load-bearing capacity.
Armrest Installation
- After distinguishing between the left and right armrests, align them with the holes on both sides of the chair body and secure them with long screws.
- Ensure that the screws are fully screwed in to prevent the armrests from loosening and affecting safety.
Seat Cushion Fixation
- Turn over the seat cushion, align it with the screw holes on the chair body, and tighten the screws one by one.
- If there is a gap between the seat cushion and the chair body, add hard washers to enhance stability.
III. Adjustment and Inspection
- Height Adjustment: If the chair legs support height adjustment (such as with a pneumatic rod design), adjust the four legs to the same height to ensure that the chair is placed steadily.
- Stability Test: Gently shake the chair to check for any loose connections. If there is wobbling, retighten the screws or add hard wooden plates (especially for the connections between aluminum alloy and wooden components).
IV. Precautions
- Tool Matching: Since aluminum alloy is hard, use tools of the corresponding specifications (such as a hexagon socket wrench) during installation to avoid screw slippage or structural damage caused by improper tools.
- Load-Bearing Limit: The load-bearing capacity of aluminum alloy chair legs is limited. Avoid overloading (such as exceeding the load-bearing range indicated on the product).
- Regular Maintenance: After long-term use, check if the screws are loose and tighten them in a timely manner to extend the service life of the chair.
