Office Chair Accessories Manufacturing

Admin October 12, 2026

Office chair accessories manufacturing involves the production of various components and encompasses multiple process steps.

I. Main Types of Accessories

  1. Chassis and Footrests: These include square rotating chassis, electroplated five-star footrests, etc. They are manufactured through processes such as steel tube bending and welding to ensure structural stability.
  2. Lifting and Adjustment Devices: Such as hydraulic gas rods and gear rod lifters, which rely on hydraulic power machinery to achieve precise lifting functions. They require rigorous testing for load-bearing capacity and durability.
  3. Foot Pads and Anti-Slip Devices: Made of rubber or plastic materials, they are molded through injection molding and must meet anti-slip and wear-resistant requirements. For example, bow-shaped foot pads need to fit the curvature of the chair bottom.
  4. Casters and Rollers: Alloy universal casters require metal processing and bearing assembly, while plastic rollers are manufactured through injection molding. They need to be tested for smooth rolling and quiet operation.
  5. Connectors and Brackets: Such as stainless steel corner brackets, which are manufactured through stamping or casting processes. They must ensure connection strength and corrosion resistance.
  6. Headrest and Backrest Accessories: The bracket parts require metal processing, while the headrest fabric needs leather treatment or fabric cutting. They must balance comfort and support.
  7. Armrests and Other Accessories: PU armrest surfaces are manufactured through injection molding, and connectors require metal processing. They need to be tested for adjustment flexibility and load-bearing capacity.

II. Core Manufacturing Processes

  1. Metal Processing: Steel tube bending is used for footrest manufacturing, and welding processes are used to connect metal components. Deformation and weld quality must be controlled.
  2. Hydraulic Technology: Lifting rods rely on hydraulic systems to achieve smooth lifting. They need to be tested for sealing and pressure-bearing capacity.
  3. Plastic Molding: Foot pads, casters, etc., are manufactured through injection or blow molding processes. Mold design must be optimized to reduce burrs.
  4. Leather Treatment: Headrest or armrest fabrics need to be cut and sewn, and some require the addition of sponge layers to enhance comfort.
  5. Assembly and Testing: Various components need to be assembled through manual or automated equipment, and final functional testing (such as the number of lifting cycles and caster lifespan) is conducted.

III. Key Points of Quality Control
The manufacturing process must strictly adhere to industry standards. For example, hydraulic gas rods must pass safety certifications, metal components must undergo rust prevention treatment, and plastic accessories must undergo anti-aging testing to ensure the durability and safety of office chairs.
