Office Chair Abdomen Slimming

Admin October 12, 2026

Abdomen slimming exercises using an office chair can be achieved through the following movements:

1. Knee Raise and Press Down Maintain an upright sitting posture and tighten your core muscles. As you exhale, bend one knee and lift it to your chest (as close to your abdomen as possible), while pressing down on the chair seat with both hands to assist in the movement. Lean back slightly while keeping your spine in a neutral position. As you inhale, slowly return your leg to the starting position. Alternate legs and repeat 15 times per set. This exercise strengthens the upper and lower abdominal muscles through the coordination of crunches and leg raises, while also improving hip joint flexibility. Be careful to avoid slouching and keep your shoulder blades stable.

2. Slow Mountain Climbing Simulate mountain climbing movements while sitting. Alternate bending the opposite arm and leg (e.g., when your right leg is bent, extend your left arm forward to touch your right knee, and vice versa). Perform the movements slowly and with control, feeling the contraction of your deep abdominal muscles (such as the transverse abdominis). Each set should last 30 seconds to 1 minute. This exercise enhances core stability by dynamically resisting gravity and is particularly suitable for people with flabby abdominal muscles due to prolonged sitting.

3. Dynamic Side Plank Sit on the edge of the chair seat and support yourself with one hand to keep your body tilted. Keep the same-side leg straight on the ground and bend the opposite leg to lift it to your chest. Perform side crunches in coordination with your breathing (e.g., when supporting on the right side, bend your left leg and twist your upper body to the right). Complete 10-15 repetitions per set on each side. This exercise specifically targets the oblique abdominal muscles and helps reduce fat accumulation on the sides of your waist.

4. Side-Lying Jumping Jacks Sit on the chair seat sideways, tighten your core, and keep your legs straight while performing jumping jacks (try to bring your knees close to your same-side elbows). Complete 20 repetitions per set on each side and repeat twice. Maintain pelvic stability and avoid body swaying during the exercise. This exercise improves abdominal explosive power and burns abdominal fat through high-frequency jumping.

Precautions:

  • Basic Requirements: If you choose seated training, you should have the basic ability to perform planks or dead bug exercises to ensure core control and avoid่…ฐ้ƒจ (lower back) compensation injuries.
  • Frequency and Intensity: It is recommended to train 3-4 times a week, selecting 2-3 exercises per session and completing 2-3 sets of each exercise with a 30-second rest between sets.
  • Breathing Coordination: Exhale when exerting force (e.g., lifting your legs or crunching) and inhale when returning to the starting position. Maintain a synchronized breathing rhythm with your movements.
  • Safety Tips: Choose a stable office chair without wheels to prevent the chair from sliding and causing falls during the exercises. Overweight individuals or those with lumbar spine diseases should consult a doctor before performing these exercises.

By persistently doing these exercises over the long term, you can effectively strengthen your abdominal muscles, improve your posture, and assist in reducing abdominal fat accumulation.
