Modular Assembly Office Chair
Refer to the following steps for assembling a modular office chair:

Step 1: Prepare Tools and Materials
Ensure all tools and components are ready, including the product manual, large screws (such as b-screws and c-screws), gloves, five-star base, wheels, gas lift, seat base, chair body, and backrest plate. The product manual is crucial for confirming the parts list and assembly sequence; gloves protect your hands from scratches, especially when handling metal parts.
Step 2: Install the Five-Star Base and Wheels
Align each wheel with the five holes on the five-star base and press firmly to insert them, ensuring a snug fit. This step may require significant force, so apply pressure evenly with both hands or use a tool to assist, preventing loose wheels that could cause wobbling during use.
Step 3: Secure the Gas Lift
Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring a tight connection. The gas lift is essential for adjusting the seat height, so check its vertical alignment during installation to avoid tilting that could affect functionality.
Step 4: Attach the Seat Base to the Chair Column
Remove the packaging from the seat base and observe any markings on the chair column (such as โfront,โ โback,โ or directional arrows). Align the seat base with the corresponding position on the chair column and secure it. The seat base typically includes adjustment knobs or levers; ensure these operate smoothly during installation to prevent jamming.
Step 5: Assemble the Chair Body and Backrest Plate
Place the chair body onto the seat base and secure the connection points with screws (such as b-screws) to ensure stability. Then, install the backrest plate by aligning it with the back of the chair body and fastening it with c-screws or other specified screws. The backrest plate is a critical support structure, so check that all screws are tightened to prevent loosening over time.
Step 6: Final Inspection and Adjustment
After assembly, thoroughly inspect all connections for firmness, including the wheels, gas lift, seat base, chair body, and backrest plate. Test the chairโs stability by shaking it manually and adjust the gas lift to ensure smooth height adjustment. Only use the chair after confirming all functions work properly.
Precautions:
- Wear gloves during installation to avoid skin injuries from metal parts.
- Use the correct tools for tightening screws to prevent slipping or over-tightening that could damage components.
- If parts do not align or installation is difficult, stop immediately and recheck the product manual to avoid structural damage from forced assembly.
