Mobile Office Chair Installation

Admin October 22, 2026

The installation steps for a mobile office chair are as follows:

  1. Install the Chair Wheels and Five-Star Base Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is fully seated. Some chair wheels are designed as direct snap-in types, requiring firm pressure until a 'click' sound confirms fixation. After installation, flip the five-star base so that the wheels face downward and place it on a stable surface.

  2. Install the Gas Lift Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, insert it vertically downward, and press lightly until it reaches the bottom. Ensure that the gas lift is fully seated in the base hole to prevent instability during subsequent use.

  3. Secure the Seat Cushion and Base Plate Place the base plate on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base plate (usually marked with 'front' or 'back' indicators). After aligning the screw holes of the seat cushion and base plate, use a screwdriver to initially tighten each screw by 3-4 turns (to avoid misalignment caused by tightening all at once), then fully tighten them one by one to ensure a firm connection between the base plate and seat cushion. Some designs require attaching the computer chair tray before securing the screws.

  4. Install the Backrest

    • Initial Fixation: Insert the seat cushion onto the top of the gas lift, ensuring that the gas lift is fully embedded in the base plate hole. Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the seat cushion, insert them, and use two C screws to pass through from the bottom of the armrest brackets to initially fix the bottom of the backrest.
    • Locking Reinforcement: Align the mounting holes on the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion bracket, and use two wrenches in conjunction with D screws for locking reinforcement (one hand holds the nut while the other turns the screw) to prevent the backrest from loosening. Some designs require installing the backrest bracket first, then securing the backrest mesh with screws.
  5. Install the Armrests Press and hold the adjustment button (if any) on the underside of the armrest surface, align the left and right armrests with the holes on the armrest brackets, and insert them, paying attention to distinguishing between left and right directions (usually indicated on the inner side of the armrests). After insertion, use a screwdriver to tighten all the fixing screws to ensure that the armrests do not wobble.

  6. Install the Headrest Place the headrest vertically in the middle position at the top of the backrest, and press firmly on the headrest mounting area to make it fit snugly against the backrest. Use two E screws to pass through the headrest fixing clips and screw them into the corresponding holes on the backrest, initially tightening them by 3-4 turns and then fully tightening them one by one to ensure that the headrest is secure.

  7. Install Decorative Parts Finally, check and snap on the black decorative buttons (to cover the screw holes) and the diamond-shaped decorative panel (if any) on the back of the backrest to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.

Precautions: During installation, keep all components aligned to avoid damaging parts by forcing them. Tighten the screws with moderate force to prevent slipping. After completion, check that all adjustment functions (such as gas lift height adjustment and armrest angle) are working properly.
