KUKA Office Chair Installation
The installation steps for the KUKA office chair (such as the K-chair) are as follows. Follow the sequence to ensure stability and functionality:

Inventory the Components Before installation, check all components, including the seat cushion, backrest, footrest, headrest, armrests, bright cover, three-legged cover, T-frame, dual-start tray, five-star base, wheels, and screw kit (including Allen wrenches and screws of different sizes). If any components are missing or damaged, contact after-sales service promptly for replacements to avoid interruptions during installation.
Install the Wheels and Five-Star Base Flip the five-star base so that its back faces up. Insert each wheel into the corresponding hole on the back of the five-star base, ensuring each wheel is fully embedded and secure. After installing the wheels, flip the five-star base back to its front side in preparation for the next steps.
Install the Gas Lift Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole on the front of the five-star base, pressing firmly until it reaches the bottom to ensure a tight connection between the gas lift and the base. The gas lift is the core component that supports the chair's height adjustment; improper installation may lead to tilting or jamming during use.
Install the Tray and Seat Cushion Use small screws to secure the dual-start tray to the bottom of the seat cushion, tightening the screws until there is no wobbling. After installing the tray, align the seat cushion with the gas lift and connect the bottom of the seat cushion to the top of the gas lift, ensuring the seat cushion is level and can move freely up and down.
Install the Backrest
- Use medium-sized screws to attach the T-frame (or ladder frame) to the back of the backrest, aligning the screw holes to prevent misalignment that could cause the backrest to tilt.
- Connect the backrest to the tray by inserting the T-frame into the tray's slot until it reaches the bottom. If insertion is difficult, gently shake the backrest side to side to aid positioning, or lift the recline handle, pull the backrest backward, and then press the handle to adjust the angle.
Install the Armrests
- Use large screws to attach the left and right armrests to the sides of the seat cushion and the bottom of the backrest, leaving the side screws slightly loose until both armrests are installed, then tighten them uniformly to ensure symmetry.
- If the screw holes on the backrest are not clearly visible, use a screwdriver to slightly enlarge the holes to avoid stripping the screws during forced installation.
Install the Footrest and Headrest
- Unscrew the built-in screws on the footrest and attach it to the designated position at the front of the seat cushion, ensuring the footrest can be freely retracted and extended.
- Align the headrest bracket with the fixing plate at the top of the backrest, install the three-legged cover, and tighten the screws. The headrest should be adjustable in height.
Function Testing and Adjustment After installation, check that all screws are tightened and focus on testing the height adjustment, rotation, and recline functions:
- Height adjustment: Press the gas lift control button and observe whether the seat cushion moves up and down smoothly.
- Recline function: Lie back the backrest to its maximum angle and check if the locking mechanism is secure.
- Rotation function: Rotate the chair to ensure there is no jamming or unusual noise.
Precautions: Avoid using excessive force during installation to prevent damage to components. For complex steps (such as connecting the backrest), refer to the installation video or contact customer service for guidance.
