The hydraulic rod is a one-time sealed component and cannot be repaired; it needs to be replaced as a whole. Replacement Steps:
  • Remove the Old Rod: Use a pipe wrench to rotate the connection between the hydraulic rod and the five-star base counterclockwise. When separating the chair seat, operate according to the snap-ring or screw-fixing type.
  • Measure and Purchase: Record the total length, pipe diameter (such as Class 3/4), and stroke. Take the old rod or a photo of its dimensions to purchase a new rod of the same specification (the price is about 30-100 yuan).
  • Install the New Rod: After cleaning the interface, tighten the connection with the five-star base clockwise. Insert it into the chair seat chassis and fix the snap ring or screws. Test whether the lifting is smooth.
• Transmission Component Problems: If the hydraulic rod is normal, check the拨扣 (toggle button) or fixing screws of the backrest transmission components. For example, replace non-standard screws with standard No. 10 screws and add washers to avoid interfering with the movement of the hydraulic rod.

3. Safety and Prevention
