Installation of Advanced Office Chair

Admin October 11, 2026

The steps for installing an advanced office chair are as follows:

1. Install the chair wheels and five-star base
Insert each chair wheel vertically into the assembly holes at the bottom of the five-star base, ensuring that all five wheels are fully embedded and the structure is stable. The chair wheels are designed to support 360-degree horizontal rotation. After installation, check that the rotation is smooth to avoid any jamming or looseness.

2. Install the gas lift
Turn the five-star base upside down so that the bottom faces upward. Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, place it vertically, and gently press it until it is fully embedded. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height. During installation, ensure that it is aligned with the center of the five-star base to avoid misalignment that could cause abnormal lifting and lowering functions.

3. Install the seat base and cushion

  • Method 1: Place the seat base on the bottom of the cushion, paying attention to the direction of the base (usually marked with โ€œFrontโ€ or โ€œBackโ€ indicators). Align it with the four screw holes, then use a screwdriver to screw in each of the four screws 3-4 turns initially, and then tighten them sequentially until they are securely fixed.
  • Method 2: Directly insert the bottom of the cushion onto the top of the gas lift until the holes in the base align perfectly with the gas lift. This method requires ensuring a tight connection between the cushion and the gas lift to prevent any wobbling.

4. Install the backrest

  • Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the installation slots on the armrests of the cushion, insert them vertically, and then use two screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets.
  • Align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the cushion bracket, and use two wrenches to cross-tighten the screws (one hand holds the nut in place, and the other hand turns the screw) to ensure a stable connection between the backrest and the cushion, without any looseness or tilting.
  • Alternative method: If the backrest is a split type, first install the backrest bracket, slip the backrest mesh onto the bracket, and then use screws to secure the connection between the bracket and the cushion.

5. Install the armrests
Use a screwdriver to secure the four screws on both sides of the armrests. During installation, press the adjustment button below the armrest surface, insert the armrests into the bracket holes, and confirm that the direction is correct (usually marked with โ€œLโ€ and โ€œRโ€ indicators). Avoid forcing the insertion to prevent damage to the button or holes.

6. Install the headrest
Align the bottom of the headrest with the installation slot in the middle of the top of the backrest, and gently press it so that the headrest fits snugly against the backrest. Thread two screws through the headrest fixing clips and screw them into the reserved holes in the backrest. First, screw each one in 3-4 turns, and then fully tighten them to ensure that the headrest does not wobble.

7. Overall adjustment
Check that all screws are tightened to avoid any omissions or looseness. Attach the black decorative buttons (to cover the screw holes) and the diamond-shaped decorative panel at the back of the backrest to enhance the aesthetic appeal. Finally, test the functions of the chair: lifting, rotation, backrest tilting, armrest adjustment, etc., to ensure that all components are operating normally.
