INS Office Chair Adjustment

Admin October 16, 2026

The methods for adjusting the height of INS office chairs vary depending on the type, with common types and adjustment methods as follows:

Pneumatic office chairs are a relatively common type, and their height adjustment method is quite convenient. Usually, there are one or two control levers under the seat. When no one is sitting on the chair, lifting the control lever upwards will raise the seat; when someone is sitting on the chair, lifting the control lever upwards will lower the seat. If there are two control levers under the seat, one is used to adjust the height of the backrest, and the other is used to adjust the angle of the backrest. You can directly try operating them before adjustment to determine the specific function of each control lever. This adjustment method utilizes the principle of air pressure, controlling the air pressure device through the control lever to achieve rapid adjustment of the seat height.

Screw-type office chairs have a more traditional adjustment method. There is a knob under the chair. When you turn the knob clockwise, the chair will lower; when you turn it counterclockwise, the chair will rise. This adjustment method achieves height changes through a screw structure. The operation is relatively simple, but the adjustment speed may not be as fast as that of pneumatic office chairs.

Manually adjustable office chairs usually have fixing screws under the backrest. During adjustment, you need to use a tool to loosen the screws, then adjust the seat to the appropriate height, and finally tighten the screws to fix it. This adjustment method is similar to the lifting mode of a bicycle saddle. Although the operation is relatively cumbersome, it can provide a relatively stable height adjustment, suitable for users with high requirements for the stability of the chair height.

When adjusting the height of an office chair, it should be reasonably adjusted according to the height of the office desk and chair as well as your own height. Generally, when sitting on an office chair, your eyes should be level with the computer screen, which helps reduce neck and eye fatigue. At the same time, the adjusted height should be appropriate to ensure a good sitting posture and avoid physical discomfort or health problems caused by an inappropriate chair height.
