Hydraulic Office Chair Installation
Admin October 19, 2026
The installation steps for a hydraulic office chair are as follows:

I. Install the Base
- Install the Casters and Hydraulic Rod: Align the casters (K wheels) with the screw holes of the metal frame (H base frame), press them in firmly or secure them with screws; align the sleeve with the base frame for installation, and then insert the large end of the hydraulic rod (J hydraulic rod) into the central tube hole of the base frame. If the base is to be installed upside down, first lay the base frame flat, and then install the wheels, sleeve, and hydraulic rod in sequence.
- Confirm the Type of Hydraulic Rod: Select a standard or low-profile pneumatic rod according to the chair design. The outer tube length of the standard version is suitable for the height of a conventional base, while the low-profile version needs to exceed the base by 4 centimeters to fit a low-profile design; prioritize choosing a three-stage or four-stage pneumatic rod, which has passed strict pressure tests and offers higher safety.
II. Install the Seat Part
- Install the Adjustment Lever: Install the adjustment lever accessory on the back of the seat surface according to the instructions in the manual, and tighten the screws to secure it.
- Secure the Seat Cushion and Base Support: Turn the seat cushion (B seat cushion) upside down, align the screw holes of the base support (G base support) with those of the seat cushion, connect them with screws (M screws), and tighten them; align the upper tube hole of the base support with the small end of the hydraulic rod and insert it.
III. Install the Backrest and Armrests
- Connect the Backrest and Armrests: Use screws to initially connect the backrest and armrests, do not fully tighten them for subsequent position adjustments.
- Secure the Top of the Backrest: Align the gasket with the screw hole at the top of the backrest (C backrest), connect them with screws, and tighten them; when aligning the lower screw holes, ensure that the screws (D screws) are fully screwed in.
- Install the Connecting Bracket: Align the three screw holes of the connecting bracket (L connecting bracket) with the lower screw holes of the backrest, secure them with screws (0 screws); loosen the button slot of the base support, align the connecting bracket with the slot for installation, and then tighten the button.
- Secure the Armrests: Align the groove side of the armrests with the screw holes on the sides of the backrest and seat cushion, connect them with screws (N screws), and tighten them; install the nut covers to cover both sides of the central screw hole, and repeat the operation for the other armrest. If the armrests are not fully secured, they can be clamped on the seat cushion board and reinforced with long screws.
IV. Overall Assembly
Align the installed seat part with the top of the hydraulic rod, and slowly press down to make them fully fit; sit on the seat and gently shake it, using your body weight to press the joints tightly to ensure there are no gaps.
V. Troubleshooting (If the Hydraulic Rod Cannot Be Raised or Lowered)
- Hydraulic Oil Leakage: Check if there is any oil stain on the outer tube of the pneumatic rod. If so, replace the seal or the entire pneumatic rod.
- Damaged Seal: Long-term use may cause the seal ring to age, requiring disassembly of the pneumatic rod and replacement of the seal.
- High Oil Temperature: Avoid using it in high-temperature environments, and test the lifting function after it has cooled down.
