How to Raise Office Chair Height
Here are the methods for raising the height of an office chair:

First, locate the hand control device. This is the key component for adjusting the height of an office chair and is usually located near the edge under the seat. If you are already sitting in the chair, you can raise the corresponding control lever to adjust the height. However, the control methods may vary for different models of office chairs. For some models, you need to turn a knob instead of pulling a lever. If you are unsure which lever controls the height, you can read the chair's instruction manual, which will clearly label the functions and operation methods of each control component; or you can try pulling each lever one by one until you find the one that controls the height.
Second, adjust the seat height to a comfortable position. After finding the correct control device, you can start adjusting the seat height. Operate gently when moving to avoid damaging the chair or causing accidents due to excessive force. Move the chair only a few inches (or centimeters) at a time, which makes it easier to find the height that suits you more precisely. After adjusting to the appropriate height, move the lever back to its original position to fix the seat height. Note that the adjustment methods for some models of seats are relatively special. You may need to pull the lever upward to raise the seat but press it downward to lower the seat; while pneumatic office chairs allow you to pump the lever, that is, repeatedly push the lever up and down to raise and lower the seat.
Finally, adjust from a standing position for assistance. If you are unable to adjust the seat to the ideal height while sitting in the chair, you can try adjusting it from a standing position. Stand beside the chair and adjust the seat height until the front of the chair is just below your knees. At this point, you should be able to sit comfortably in the chair with your feet flat on the ground. This height conforms to ergonomic principles, helps reduce physical fatigue, and improves work and study efficiency.
