How to Lower an Office Chair
The method for lowering an office chair varies depending on its adjustment type, as detailed below:

Pneumatic Adjustment (Most Common): This is the adjustment method used by most office chairs today. To operate, sit steadily on the chair and locate the height adjustment lever on the right side beneath the seat, usually a long lever. Grasp the adjustment lever with your hand and gently lift it upwards. At this point, slightly lift your body and keep the lever lifted, relying on your body weight to slowly and steadily sink down, causing the chair to descend accordingly. When the seat reaches the desired height, release the lever to lock the height in place. Throughout the process, ensure smooth movements and avoid suddenly pressing down or releasing the lever to prevent damage or safety hazards.
Mechanical Adjustment (Screw/Rotary Type): For office chairs with mechanical adjustment, locate the adjustment knob or a screw with a locking function at the center or side of the chair base. To lower the height, rotate the knob clockwise (usually following the principle of 'tighten right, loosen left', but clockwise for lowering). If it's an older chair with a fixed screw, first use a tool (such as a wrench) to loosen the screw counterclockwise. While rotating the knob or loosening the screw, manually press the seat down to the desired height. For models with screw fixation, after adjustment, be sure to retighten the screw clockwise to secure it, preventing changes in seat height during use.
Inflatable Type: Adjusting an inflatable office chair is relatively simple. Locate the knob on the gas cylinder and rotate the chair clockwise to lower its height. Be mindful of applying moderate force during operation to avoid over-rotating and damaging the gas cylinder.
Other Operation Tips: For some office chairs, when lowering, sit on the chair or press down firmly with your hand, then lift the found handle of the chair to lower it; there's also a saying that there's an adjustment function beneath the chair, and by sitting on it and pressing the relevant part directly, the chair will descend. Different brands and models of office chairs may have variations, so it's advisable to check the product manual or consult after-sales personnel before operation.
