How to Adjust Office Chair Height
The methods for adjusting the height of an office chair mainly include finding the control device, adjusting the seat height, and lowering the office stool. If the chair cannot be adjusted, the gas lift rod can be replaced.

Finding the Hand Control Device
If you are already seated on the chair, you can adjust the height by pulling up the corresponding control lever. Different models of office chairs have varying control methods; some chairs require turning a knob instead of pulling a lever. If you are unsure which lever controls the height, you can read the chair's instruction manual or try pulling each lever one by one until you find the correct one.
Adjusting the Seat Height
After finding the control lever, move the seat until you find a comfortable position. Operate gently, moving the chair only a few inches (or centimeters) at a time, and return the lever to its original position after adjustment. Different models of seats have different operating methods; some models require pulling the lever up to raise the seat and pressing it down to lower the seat; pneumatic models allow pumping the lever, that is, repeatedly pushing it up and down to achieve seat adjustment. If you cannot adjust the seat properly from a seated position, try adjusting it from a standing position. Specifically, adjust the seat height of the chair until the front of the chair is just below your knees. This ensures a comfortable and correct sitting posture, preventing leg fatigue or poor body posture due to an inappropriate seat height.
Lowering the Office Stool
Office stools usually have height adjustment functions. Find the adjustment device to lower the stool. While seated on the stool, press the relevant part directly, and the stool will descend until it reaches the lowest position.
Handling Gas Lift Rod Issues
If the office chair cannot be adjusted in height, it is likely that there is a problem with the gas lift rod. In this case, you can replace the gas lift rod yourself. Gas lift rods can be purchased independently online, with prices ranging from approximately 30 to 230 yuan. When replacing, first step on the bottom of the chair with both feet and shake it to lift the chair. Then, use a wrench or hammer to knock on the circular area around the gas lift rod to knock it out. Next, install the newly purchased gas lift rod, first attaching it to the base, then putting the stool on top, and finally sitting on it to press it tightly to complete the replacement.
