Hotel Office Chair Disposal

Admin October 16, 2026

The following methods can be referred to for the disposal of hotel office chairs:

1. Disposal by professional recycling teams
Entrust qualified recycling teams to manage the entire process of old office chairs. The teams will conduct on-site inspections to evaluate the materials of the chairs (such as wood, metal, plastic), structural integrity, degree of damage, and brand craftsmanship, and then formulate classified disposal plans:

  • Refurbishment and reuse: Clean, repair, polish, and repaint chairs in good condition with a sturdy structure to restore their functionality for use within the hotel or circulation in the second-hand market.
  • Creative transformation: For chairs with outdated styles but high-quality materials, extend their lifespan by changing their functions (such as transforming an office chair into a leisure chair) or redesigning their appearance.
  • Scientific disassembly: For chairs that cannot be reused as a whole, disassemble them to recover raw materials such as wood and metal for regenerative manufacturing, reducing resource waste.

2. On-site pickup appointment
Schedule professional collection services through the official city management app, WeChat official account, or convenience mini-program of your city. Some cities have introduced convenience policies, such as designating the last Sunday of each month as the "Free Bulky Waste Centralized Collection Day," during which appointments can be made for free on-site services, reducing disposal costs.

3. Self-delivery to designated points
Check the bulky waste collection points set up in your district, street, or community and properly dispose of old office chairs there. Before disposal, confirm whether the point accepts office furniture waste and comply with the disposal time requirements to avoid affecting environmental hygiene.

4. Self-transport to disposal sites
If conditions permit, you can directly transport old office chairs to government-designated disposal sites. These sites usually offer free disposal services, but you need to confirm the address, opening hours, and transportation requirements (such as whether prior notification is required) in advance.

5. Internal transfer and repair for reuse

  • Function matching: For old office chairs in good working condition, prioritize their use for new needs within the hotel (such as workstation configurations for new departments) to reduce procurement costs.
  • Repair for reuse: For chairs with minor paint peeling or damaged small parts, have the engineering department repair and debug them. If the repair cost does not exceed 10% of the purchase price of a new similar model, prioritize repair and continue using them to extend the asset lifespan.

6. Charitable donation or public resale
For old office chairs in good working condition but not meeting the hotel's latest VI (Visual Identity System) requirements, they can be disposed of in the following ways:

  • Charitable donation: Prioritize partnering with local migrant worker children's schools, communities, and other institutions in need of office furniture to fulfill social responsibilities.
  • Public resale: Resell them through second-hand trading platforms or offline markets to achieve resource reuse and recover some costs.
