Computer Office Chair Installation

Admin October 17, 2026

The installation steps for a computer office chair are as follows:

1. Basic Component Installation

  • Install Wheels: Align the wheels with the slots on the five-star base and press down vertically until fully embedded, ensuring each wheel is securely installed. After installation, shake the wheels left and right to check if they are fully inserted and not loose. If the wheels do not match the five-star base, apply a small amount of lubricant to assist with installation.
  • Connect Gas Lift and Five-Star Base: Insert the bottom of the gas lift (height adjustment column) into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring it is vertical and stable. For some models, a short screw is required to secure the position of the seat plate. In this case, align the seat plate (the metal or plastic bracket beneath the seat cushion) with the top of the gas lift and tighten the short screw with a screwdriver, ensuring the holes reserved beneath the seat cushion align with the seat plate.

2. Main Structure Assembly

  • Install Base Frame and Seat Cushion: Flip the seat cushion over so that the back is facing up. Place the base frame (the metal frame supporting the seat cushion) on the holes reserved on the seat cushion and roughly align the screw holes. Do not tighten the screws yet to allow for subsequent angle adjustments.
  • Secure Backrest: If the chair backrest is detachable, align the backrest bracket with the connection points on the seat cushion or base frame, insert the matching screws, and tighten them slightly. For some models, the backrest is secured with clips; press firmly until you hear a โ€œclickโ€ to confirm it is securely fastened.

3. Overall Adjustment and Fixation

  • Adjust Angle and Height: After initial assembly, flip the chair upright and sit on it to test if the height adjustment function works properly. Adjust the chair height using the gas lift to ensure smooth and unobstructed movement. If the chair has a tilt function, adjust the backrest angle to a comfortable position.
  • Tighten All Screws: After confirming that all components are in the correct positions, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws on the base frame, backrest, seat plate, etc., ensuring the structure is stable. Tighten the screws in a diagonal sequence to avoid uneven stress and potential loosening.

4. Final Inspection

  • Shake the chair to test its stability, checking if the wheels roll smoothly, if the gas lift operates steadily, and if there are any unusual noises at the connection points between the backrest and seat cushion. If any looseness or abnormalities are found, recheck if the screws are tightened or if the components are properly installed.

Precautions: Read the instruction manual carefully before installation, as different chair models may have structural differences. Use tools safely to avoid scratching your hands or damaging the components.
