The following content can be used as a reference for drafting the notice on cleaning office chairs:

I. Purpose of the Notice To create a clean and hygienic office environment, safeguard the health of employees, and extend the service life of office equipment, a special cleaning campaign for office chairs is being launched. All departments are requested to cooperate in its implementation.

II. Cleaning Scope and Requirements

  1. Cleaning Scope All office chairs within the office areas, including employee workstation chairs, conference room chairs, and leisure chairs in public areas.
  2. Cleaning Standards
    • Daily Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the seat surface, armrests, and backrest every morning and evening, with a focus on removing dust, stains, and wax residue. If there is wax on the chair surface, gently remove the old wax layer with a soft cloth before cleaning to avoid scratching the material.
    • Regular Deep Cleaning: Conduct a comprehensive cleaning at least once a week, following these steps:
      • Dust Removal: First, use a dry cloth or vacuum cleaner to clean the dust from the chair crevices, bottom, and backrest.
      • Wiping: Use a damp cloth (which can be dipped in a small amount of neutral detergent) to wipe the seat surface until it has a soft sheen. Avoid using corrosive or strongly alkaline detergents.
      • Drying and Maintenance: After the surface is completely dry, apply new wax (only for materials that require waxing) to enhance the surface gloss and protective properties.
    • Disinfection Treatment: For detachable chair covers or fabric parts, clean or disinfect them according to the material instructions. For non-detachable parts, wipe them with a damp cloth containing 75% alcohol for disinfection. After disinfection, ventilate and air-dry them.

III. Division of Responsibilities

  1. Employee Self-Inspection and Cleaning: Employees should complete basic cleaning on their own after daily use to keep their workstation chairs clean.
  2. Departmental Coordination and Management: Department heads should notify employees in advance to cooperate with the cleaning work, designate a dedicated person to supervise the cleaning progress, and ensure that nothing is overlooked.
  3. Logistical Support: The administrative department should provide cleaning tools (dry and damp cloths, neutral detergents, alcohol wipes, etc.) and arrange for a dedicated person to regularly inspect the wear and tear of the chairs, promptly contacting for repairs or replacement of damaged parts.

IV. Precautions

  1. Turn Off the Power: During the cleaning process, turn off the power (if the chair has electric functions) to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  2. Ensure Complete Drying: After wiping with a damp cloth, make sure the chair is completely dry before use to prevent slipping or material deformation.
  3. Proper Disposal of Cleaning Waste: Classify and dispose of cleaning waste (such as used cloths and empty bottles) in accordance with environmental protection requirements.

All departments are requested to strictly implement the cleaning requirements and jointly maintain an efficient and healthy office environment.
