CITIC Office Chair Installation
The installation of CITIC office chairs can refer to the general steps for conventional office chairs, as detailed below:

1. Install the Footrest and Casters
Align the movable casters with the slots on the five-star base and press firmly until they are fully engaged, ensuring the casters rotate smoothly. If they are rubber wheels, check that the safety locks are in the unlocked position to avoid immobility after installation. Some casters may require tools for installation; adjust the force according to the instructions.
2. Install the Gas Lift
Insert the gas lift (pneumatic rod) vertically into the central hole of the five-star base, ensuring sufficient insertion depth. If the chair comes with a protective shell, fit it over the gas lift after installation to protect the internal structure and enhance aesthetics. Before installation, confirm that the gas lift is free from leaks or damage to avoid lifting malfunctions during use.
3. Install the Armrests
Align the armrests with the holes on both sides of the seat cushion and secure them with screws. Pay attention to the screw type (e.g., Torx or hex screws) during installation to avoid cross-threading from mixed use. Some armrests may require the addition of washers to reduce friction; ensure the screws are tightened appropriately, as over-tightening can damage the threads, while under-tightening can cause the armrests to wobble.
4. Install the Seat Cushion
Align the connector (e.g., butterfly plate) at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and press down firmly until fully engaged. If the chair is designed with a separate footrest and seat cushion, first connect them with screws before assembling them with the gas lift. After installation, check that the seat cushion is level to avoid tilting that affects the user experience.
5. Install the Backrest
Connect the backrest to the seat cushion using steel bars or brackets, secure them with screws, and install decorative covers. If the backrest is adjustable, confirm that the adjustment mechanism is flexible and install limit screws to prevent excessive tilting. For integrated backrests, align them directly with the slots on the back of the seat cushion and press firmly until locked.
6. Install the Headrest/Neck Pillow
Align the bracket of the headrest or neck pillow with the holes at the top of the backrest, secure it with screws, and adjust it to the appropriate height. After installation, check the tightness of the headrest to ensure it can stably support the head while avoiding difficulty in adjustment due to excessive tightness.
7. Overall Inspection
- Tighten all screws to ensure there are no loose or missing ones.
- Install decorative buttons or diamond-shaped decorative plates to enhance the chair's appearance.
- Shake the chair left, right, front, and back to check that all components are securely connected and that the gas lift operates smoothly.
Precautions:
- Before installation, verify the quantity of parts and distinguish between different screw types to avoid mixed use.
- Some chairs require the insertion of small screws as safety devices; do not overlook them, as they may lead to structural instability.
- Avoid placing items exceeding the specified weight on the seat to prevent damage to the gas lift or the chair from tipping over.
- If the CITIC office chair has special features (e.g., foldable design, electric adjustment functions), it is advisable to refer to the installation diagram provided with the product or contact after-sales service for targeted guidance.
