Car Office Chairs in Japan
Japanese car brands have launched car office chairs, with Toyota and Dongfeng Nissan both introducing relevant products.
The office chair launched by Toyota, which replicates the Crown car seat, is based on the electric front seats of the Crown model. It retains most of the functional configurations of the original car seat, including electric recline, height adjustment, cushion forward tilt angle adjustment, lumbar support, seat ventilation, and heating functions. The original car's seatbelt buckle has been cleverly retained and transformed into a USB port, preserving the original car elements while adding practicality. The chair base, lifting mechanism, and armrest structure are jointly developed by Toyota Boshoku and the Japanese office furniture brand Itoki, ensuring the stability and comfort of the office chair. This office chair is sold through Toyota's premium Crown exclusive store channel, THE CROWN, in Japan, priced at 495,000 yen (approximately 21,244 yuan at the current exchange rate), with a limited quantity of 70 chairs. If demand exceeds supply, purchase eligibility will be determined through a lottery system.
The N7 office chair launched by Dongfeng Nissan has an overall design identical to that of the Dongfeng Nissan N7's seat, adopting Nissan's unique spinal ergonomic seat design with a two-tone color scheme. In terms of materials, it uses a creamy material that provides a delicate, moist, and skin-friendly touch on the seat surface and lower backrest, while the upper backrest feels similar to suede, offering an excellent tactile experience. Most of the functions from the car seat have been inherited, including backrest tilt, rear lumbar support adjustment, armrest height adjustment on both sides, and overall seat height adjustment. Additionally, a storage net pocket is provided on the back of the seat, and a charging port is located below, facilitating item storage and charging for users. It also features functions such as posture intelligent control and memory positioning, priced at 9,888 yuan.
