Bracket Office Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation steps for a bracket office chair are as follows:

I. Install the Chair Base and Casters Insert each caster into the assembly holes of the five-claw chair base, ensuring that each caster is fully embedded. Flip the chair base so that the five claws face upwards, align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five claws, place it vertically, and gently press down until it is fully inserted. Pay attention to the direction of the gas lift in this step to avoid incorrect installation that may lead to instability during subsequent use.

II. Install the Seat Plate and Seat Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat structure). After aligning the four screw holes of the seat plate with those of the seat, first screw in four B screws one by one for 3-4 turns to ensure the seat plate is initially fixed, and then tighten all the screws in sequence. Avoid loose screws that may cause the seat plate to become loose in this step.

III. Connect the Seat and Gas Lift Align the center hole at the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift, press down vertically until it is fully inserted into the hole in the seat plate. Ensure that the gas lift is tightly connected to the seat in this step to avoid shaking or separation during use.

IV. Install the Chair Back

  1. Fix the Bottom of the Backrest: Align the two sides of the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat, insert them, and then use two C screws to pass through from the bottom of the armrest bracket upwards to initially fix the bottom of the backrest.
  2. Lock the Rear Part of the Backrest: Align the installation holes at the rear of the backrest with the corresponding holes on the seat bracket, use two wrenches (usually an open-end wrench and an Allen wrench) in combination with D screws to tighten them simultaneously from both sides, completing the locking and fixing of the backrest to the seat bracket. Ensure that the screws are tightened evenly in this step to avoid a tilted backrest.

V. Install the Armrests Press the button below the armrest surface (some models may require pressing a buckle), align the left and right armrests with the holes on the armrest brackets respectively, and insert them vertically until they are fully embedded. Check whether the armrests are properly installed in this step to avoid them coming off during use.

VI. Install the Headrest

  1. Initial Positioning: Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, and gently press the installation part of the headrest to make it fit against the backrest.
  2. Fix the Headrest: Pass two E screws through the headrest fixing buckles, screw them into the corresponding holes on the backrest, first screw them in one by one for 3-4 turns, and then tighten all the screws in sequence. Ensure that the height of the headrest is appropriate in this step to meet ergonomic requirements.

Special Instructions: For the installation of a swivel chair bracket (such as an L-shaped fixed bracket), open the packaging box to take out the accessories, lay the chair down, fix the L-shaped bracket to the main shaft, fix the other side with screws and nuts, and finally use an open-end wrench and an M4 Allen wrench in combination to tighten all the screws. Ensure that the bracket is perpendicular to the main shaft of the chair in this step to avoid installation tilt that may affect use.
