Boss Office Chair Production

Admin October 12, 2026

The production of boss office chairs involves multiple steps, including frame construction, leather processing, and assembly.

Frame Construction: The production of a boss office chair begins with the frame. For the seat frame, a hydraulic press is used to bend thumb-thick steel tubes into the appropriate shape, and the open ends are welded. Then, a steel bar is welded in the center to enhance stability. Next, several S-shaped springs are hung, and support bars are fixed horizontally to the springs, completing the seat frame. The construction of the backrest frame is equally important, including lumbar support, armrests, and other parts. After construction, the burrs and rough edges on the steel bars are smoothed out to ensure safety and a smooth appearance.

Leather Processing: For leather boss chairs, leather processing is a crucial step. Workers first lay the leather flat on a table and cut it along thick cardboard templates, avoiding any blemishes during the process. To minimize waste, different templates are used to cut out leather pieces for different parts of the chair, with one piece of leather typically being enough for one chair. Then, foam of the same size as the leather is cut, with different types of foam used for different parts of the office chair, such as firmer foam for the cushioning areas. Finally, the leather and foam are sewn together one by one using a sewing machine to ensure a secure connection and a flat appearance.

Assembly Process: During assembly, a piece of wood veneer is first added to the backrest and wrapped entirely with foam, followed by covering it with a leather cushion and attaching a plastic cover to the back. Then, the swivel plate is locked onto the base, and a height-adjustable hydraulic column is installed, which not only supports the chair but also allows it to rotate 360 degrees. Next, an aluminum base is attached, and five casters are installed in the grooves of the base for easy chair movement. Finally, a car-style headrest and two armrests are added to the backrest to enhance comfort.

In addition, the leather upholstery of boss office chairs is usually made of PU leather or genuine leather, primarily for executive chairs and mid-back chairs. Mesh fabric, known for its good breathability, is commonly used in low-back chairs, making them suitable for summer use.
