Assembly of Black Office Chairs

Admin October 12, 2026

The assembly of black office chairs requires selecting the appropriate method based on the specific type. Here are the common types and their assembly steps:

I. Assembly of Black Office Chairs with Bow-shaped Legs and Backrests

  1. Component Preparation: You will need 1 seat cushion, 1 crossbar, 1 long thin screw (630), 2 short thin screws (618), 1 thick screw (8*25), 6 foot pads, 4 chair legs, a pair of armrests, and installation tools (such as a screwdriver).
  2. Assembly Steps:
    • Connecting Chair Legs and Crossbar: Fix the chair legs on both sides of the crossbar with thick screws (8*25). Note not to fully tighten them at this point to facilitate subsequent angle adjustments.
    • Installing Seat Cushion and Armrests: Use the long thin screw (630) to secure the seat cushion above the chair legs, and then use the short thin screws (618) to attach the armrests to both sides of the chair legs.
    • Fixing Foot Pads: Place each of the 6 foot pads onto the bottom of the chair legs to ensure the chair is placed stably.
    • Final Adjustment: Check the tightness of all screws, ensure there is no looseness, and then fully tighten the thick screws on both sides of the crossbar.

II. Assembly of Common Office Chairs with Pneumatic Rods and Five-star Bases

  1. Pre-assembly Preparation:
    • Environment and Tools: Choose a well-lit and flat area, and count the components (five-star base, 5 casters, pneumatic rod, seat tray, seat, backrest, armrests, screw package, and tools such as screwdrivers and Allen wrenches).
    • Tool Selection: Use a Phillips/flat-head screwdriver or an electric screwdriver (set to a low torque level) according to the screw type to avoid slipping.
  2. Core Assembly Steps:
    • Installing Five-star Base and Casters: Place the five-star base face up, align the metal rods of the casters with the foot holes, and press vertically until you hear a 'click' (for threaded types, tighten clockwise). Gently shake to check for firmness.
    • Installing Pneumatic Rod: Remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the pneumatic rod (if any), and insert the thick end vertically into the center hole of the five-star base and press it to the bottom.
    • Fixing Seat Tray: Flip the seat over so that the bottom is facing up, remove the pre-installed screws, align the tray with the holes (note that the lift control lever should face forward), first hand-tighten the screws for initial fixation, and then gradually tighten them using the 'diagonal tightening method'.
    • Connecting Seat and Pneumatic Rod: Align the center hole of the seat tray with the top of the pneumatic rod and press down vertically to complete the connection.
    • Installing Backrest and Armrests: Use screws to fix the backrest to the back of the seat, and then attach the armrests to both sides of the seat using screws or clips (for some models, you may need to install the armrests first and then connect the backrest).

Precautions:

  • Avoid applying excessive force during assembly to prevent deformation of components, especially at the connection between the pneumatic rod and the five-star base.
  • If the chair is equipped with a headrest, install it at the last step using screws or clips at the top of the backrest.
  • After assembly, check that all moving parts (such as lift and rotation functions) operate smoothly.
