Babies Sleeping on Office Chairs
It is not advisable to let babies sleep on office chairs for the following main reasons:

Safety is Hard to Guarantee
Office chairs are primarily designed to meet the sitting needs of adults during work, not for babies' sleeping scenarios. Their structures typically lack safety protection designs tailored for babies, such as dedicated guardrails or safety belts. During sleep, babies may turn over or twist their bodies. Without effective protective measures, they can easily slide off the office chair, resulting in accidental injuries like falls or bumps. Moreover, the materials and surface treatments of office chairs may not be soft enough, and direct contact with a baby's delicate skin can cause friction or irritation, increasing the risk of skin damage.
Poor Comfort
The size and shape of office chairs are designed according to the physical characteristics of adults. For babies, they may not provide good support and fit. A baby's body is in the stage of growth and development, with relatively soft bones and muscles, requiring appropriate support to maintain correct posture. Sleeping on an office chair, a baby's spine may not receive natural extension and support. Over the long term, this can affect the normal development of the spine, leading to adverse consequences such as scoliosis. In addition, the materials of office chairs may not be breathable enough. Babies are prone to sweating during sleep, and if the sweat cannot be dissipated in a timely manner, it will make the baby feel uncomfortable and affect sleep quality.
Lack of Professional Functions
Professional baby sleep products, such as cribs and baby rockers, are usually designed according to babies' sleep characteristics and needs, and are equipped with some special functions, such as adjustable tilt angles and gentle rocking functions. These functions help babies fall asleep more easily and maintain a sleeping state. However, office chairs do not have these professional functions and cannot provide a suitable sleeping environment for babies.
