Advanced Office Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation steps for an advanced office chair are generally as follows. Specific operations should be carried out according to the product manual or video guidance:

  1. Install the chair wheels Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-claw or five-star base one by one, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and rotates flexibly. If there is difficulty in installing the wheels, check whether there are foreign objects in the holes or whether the wheels are oriented correctly.

  2. Install the gas lift Place the thicker end of the gas lift vertically against the center hole of the five-claw base or directly insert it into the middle hole of the five-star base. Note: The gas lift should be kept vertical to avoid uneven force distribution due to tilting. After installation, gently press down to test whether the lifting function works properly.

  3. Install the base and seat cushion Place the base on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base (usually marked to distinguish front and back). Align the screw holes and then screw in the screws 3-4 turns one by one, and then tighten them one by one until they are fixed. If there is a snap-fit structure between the base and the seat cushion, align the snaps before locking the screws.

  4. Install the backrest

    • Method 1: Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation positions on both sides of the seat cushion and insert them. First, use screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket, and then align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion bracket and fix them with screws.
    • Method 2: If the backrest requires a separate bracket installation, first fix the bracket on the seat cushion, then install the backrest mesh and reinforce it with screws. Key point: Ensure that there is no gap at the connection between the backrest and the seat cushion. After tightening the screws, check whether the backrest is stable.
  5. Install the armrests Insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, paying attention to distinguishing left and right (usually marked on the armrests) to avoid reverse installation. After insertion, fix them with screws from the bottom or side, and then test whether the armrests wobble after tightening.

  6. Install the headrest (if any) Align the headrest with the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the installation part of the headrest to make it fit the backrest, and then insert the screw through the headrest fixing snap and tighten it. For some headrests, they need to be inserted into the slot first and then locked with screws, and the order should be adjusted according to the structure.

  7. Final inspection

    • Check whether all screws are tightened to avoid the risk of use due to looseness.
    • Confirm that the decorative buttons or decorative panels (if any) are tightly snapped to enhance the overall aesthetics.
    • Test the various functions of the chair: whether the lifting, rotation, and backrest tilting functions work properly, and whether the wheels slide smoothly.

Precautions: The component designs of different models of office chairs may vary, such as the length of the gas lift, screw specifications, or installation order. If resistance is encountered or components cannot be aligned during installation, do not force the operation. Stop immediately, refer to the manual, or contact after-sales service to prevent damage to parts or potential safety hazards.
