Zody Office Chair Installation
There is currently no publicly available detailed step-by-step installation guide for the Zody office chair, but you can refer to the installation video for the Haworth Zody ergonomic chair or follow the general installation process for regular office chairs. Here are some general installation suggestions:

1. Pre-installation Preparation
Before installation, ensure that all components are complete, including the footrest, gas lift, seat cushion, backrest, armrests, screws, and tools (usually an Allen wrench). It is recommended to sort the components to avoid confusion. Also, check if there is an instruction manual or installation diagram in the packaging. Some brands provide paper or electronic guidance documents.
2. Assemble the Footrest and Gas Lift
Place the footrest (five-star base) flat on the ground, ensuring that the five legs are evenly spread out. Insert the gas lift (height-adjustment column) vertically into the central hole of the footrest and press gently until it is fully embedded. The gas lift is a core component of the office chair. Ensure that it matches the footrest and is installed securely to prevent loosening during subsequent use.
3. Install the Seat Cushion
Align the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until the gas lift's catch aligns with the seat cushion's fixing hole and locks in place. Some seat cushions need to be fixed with screws. In this case, use an Allen wrench to tighten the screws. Make sure the screws are fully embedded to avoid scratching the surface.
4. Attach the Backrest
Depending on the design, there are two ways to install the backrest:
- Direct Insertion Type: Align the bottom of the backrest with the slot at the back of the seat cushion and press down vertically until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating that it is fixed.
- Screw Fixation Type: Align the backrest with the seat cushion and insert screws from the back of the seat cushion and tighten them. Ensure that the backrest is perpendicular to the seat cushion to avoid tilting and affecting the user experience.
5. Install the Armrests
Align the armrests with the reserved holes on both sides of the seat cushion and insert screws from the bottom and tighten them. During installation, keep the armrests level and at the same height, which can be adjusted by measuring or comparing. Some armrests support height or angle adjustment. Confirm that the adjustment mechanism is flexible before installation.
6. Final Inspection and Adjustment
After installation, check if all screws are tightened and if the connections between components are secure. Sit on the chair and test if the height adjustment and tilt functions work properly and if the armrests wobble. If any abnormalities are found, re-check the installation of the corresponding components. If necessary, refer to the brand's official video or contact customer service.
Tip: If it is a Haworth Zody ergonomic chair, it is recommended to watch the installation video provided by Second Tree Recycled Furniture first, as its steps are more in line with the specific model design. For regular office chairs, you can refer to general tutorials, but pay attention to the differences in details.
