The installation of Zhongtai office chairs can be carried out with reference to the following steps:

Pre-installation Preparation:
First, inventory the components, including 5 casters, 1 pressure lift rod, 1 five-star base, 1 control mechanism tray for height adjustment, and 1 seat, etc. Check each item against the packing list to ensure all hardware, screws, and instruction manuals are complete. Also, prepare tools such as screwdrivers and Phillips screwdrivers. Before installation, confirm the site conditions: measure the office dimensions, door widths, and elevator passage widths to ensure the furniture can be smoothly brought in; check the floor levelness, the compatibility of wall outlet positions with the furniture layout, and clear any obstacles in the moving path.

Installation Steps:

1. Method One:

   • Attach the armrests to both sides of the seat cushion, ensuring the screws are tightened securely;
   • Install the control mechanism tray for height adjustment and connect the backrest to the seat cushion;
   • Insert the casters into the five ends of the five-star base, ensuring they are firmly in place without looseness;
   • Insert the thicker end with a hole of the pressure lift rod (gas cylinder) into the center hole of the five-star base;
   • Finally, insert the upper part of the chair body (including the seat cushion and backrest) into the top of the gas cylinder and rotate to lock it in place.

2. Method Two:

   • Flip the chair over, remove the screws at the bottom of the seat cushion, and install the tray in the center of the bottom of the seat cushion;
   • Install the five casters separately into the five ends of the five-star base and check for stability;
   • Place the five-star base upright on the floor and connect the thicker end with a hole of the pressure lift rod to the five-star base;
   • Align the installation hole of the tray (including the seat cushion) with the top of the pressure lift rod and press down vertically to complete the connection.

Post-installation Inspection:

1. Stability Test:

   • Shake the chair to check if the overall structure is stable, without looseness or abnormal noises;
   • Sit and test the height adjustment function: adjust the height using the control tray handle to confirm smooth height adjustment;
   • Rotation test: check if the chair can rotate 360 degrees freely without jamming.

2. Detail Adjustment:

   • Check that all connecting screws are tightened, especially those at the connections between the armrests, backrest, and seat cushion;
   • Confirm that the casters rotate flexibly and the five-star base makes stable contact with the floor;
   • Sit and operate the control handle to ensure the height adjustment and rotation functions work normally without operational resistance.

Precautions:

• Avoid applying excessive force during installation to prevent damage to components, especially the connection between the pressure lift rod and the five-star base;
• If the chair is equipped with a headrest, it should be fixed separately after the backrest is installed;
• For the first use after installation, it is advisable to avoid rapid height adjustment or rotation and wait for the components to fully wear in before normal use.
