Yihang Brings Digital Products to ORGATEC 2022 to Explore the Future of Work
COVID-19 changed our working world. Hybrid work, cross-regional work, and virtual teams have become daily reality for many employees. So where will the trends in office work go next?
ORGATEC, the office furniture and management facilities trade fair held in Cologne, Germany, from October 25 to 29, drew particular attention. ORGATEC is one of the world's most closely watched furniture shows, dedicated to showcasing new office concepts and providing traders and users with complete interior solutions for the new challenges of modern work structures. Yihang Technology made a striking appearance with its digital products, sharing new ideas and concepts for the future office environment.

A Chinese office furniture brand goes deep abroad
As the environment for going global matures, more and more Chinese brands are setting their sights on broader overseas markets. Furniture brands in particular have embarked on the journey, localizing design, services, and production, and becoming an important part of the international furniture market.
Take Yihang Technology. Early on it relied mainly on product trading; in recent years it has pursued strategic depth from point to plane — establishing R&D centers in Berlin and Los Angeles, building experience centers in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, opening an overseas factory in Mexico, North America, and accelerating its cross-border e-commerce presence. Its products now sell in more than 110 countries and regions, and it serves over 170 Fortune Global 500 companies.
Germany, as a key strategic location in Yihang's overseas footprint, imports nearly a third of its furniture from China, and the biennial global ORGATEC fair has become a vital stage for brands to present themselves internationally. As early as 2008, Yihang's path crossed with the Cologne fair, bringing Chinese office furniture brands to the world stage — and this is already Yihang's fifth time exhibiting.

At this year's show, guided by its corporate mission of “everything for healthy offices” and centered on people, Yihang Technology showcased its new insights into modern work — digital workstations, hybrid offices, sustainable development — presenting visitors with healthy, eco-friendly, comfortable, and intelligent complete office space solutions.
Digital transformation empowers healthy offices
As the “Made in China 2025” strategy takes hold and emerging technologies like the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence push forward, China's furniture industry is entering a new stage of industrial upgrading, with advanced manufacturing and information-driven production likely to become the main battlefield of the future furniture market. In 2021, Yihang completed its renaming — from “Yihang Furniture” to “Yihang Technology” — reflected chiefly in intelligent products, digital-intelligent production, and digital management.

On the intelligent products front, the show featured the digital sit-stand workstation Sit-Stand 7 (UP7), which combines sensing and IoT transmission technologies to break through, aiming to lift office space intelligence to a new dimension. Sit-Stand 7 draws a clear line from “pseudo-smart” products: a sensor installed under the desk monitors real prolonged-sitting behavior in real time. The sensor's three sensing elements detect precisely across three dimensions — movement, temperature, and micro-movement — recognizing the human body even when still. With a proactive-health design philosophy, it safeguards employees' health.
Notably, the introduction of LoRa IoT technology makes corporate asset management more efficient and convenient. Workstations can join the network for backstage data analysis and equipment management, helping enterprises optimize operating costs and office space utilization.
Office space solutions: what you see is what you get
Achieving “healthy offices” requires focusing not only on products but on the office space itself. To that end, Yihang Technology has set up a dedicated solutions department that plans office spaces holistically — space planning, soft furnishing, styling, and more — delivering complete commercial office space solutions.

Meanwhile, guided by the ten core dimensions of the WELL standard, Yihang Technology researches “bringing nature into the office” across air, water, nourishment, movement, light, sound, community, and more, building natural, healthy office spaces in every respect. For office acoustics, this show optimized the sound environment with silent booths and similar solutions to cut noise and sharpen focus; for community connection, products from the Island series create social workspaces where people can exchange ideas anytime, anywhere, boosting interactivity and friendlier communication.
Through its “Iron Triangle” service model — a team of account manager, solution manager, and technical & delivery manager — Yihang Technology tailors “what you see is what you get” solutions for each client. It has delivered office space solutions for Huawei, Tencent Music, Hyundai, and other enterprises.
