Yibufan Office Chair Assembly
Admin October 09, 2026
If the Yibufan office chair adopts a common pneumatic rod and five-star foot design, it can be assembled according to the following steps:

I. Pre-assembly Preparation
- Inventory of Components: This includes a five-star foot (base), casters (5 pieces), a pneumatic rod, a tray (chassis), a seat (cushion), a backrest, armrests, a screw package, and installation tools.
- Prepare Tools: The core tools are screwdrivers (cross/flat-head) that fit the screws or a low-torque electric screwdriver, and an Allen wrench; auxiliary tools include a rubber mallet (for installing the pneumatic rod) and a tape measure (for adjustment assistance).
II. Core Assembly Steps
- Install the Five-star Foot and Casters
Place the five-star foot with its front side up. Take one caster, align the metal rod with the foot hole, and press vertically until a 'click' sound is heard (for threaded types, tighten clockwise). Install the remaining casters in sequence. After installation, gently shake the five-star foot to confirm that all casters are securely fastened without looseness. - Install the Pneumatic Rod
Position the center hole of the five-star foot upwards. Remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the pneumatic rod (if present), and insert the thicker end vertically into the center hole, pressing firmly to the bottom to ensure complete insertion. - Install the Seat Chassis
Flip the seat cushion so that its bottom is facing up. Locate the four pre-installed screw holes, remove the pre-installed screws, align the tray with the holes (note that the side with the lift control lever is the front), initially tighten all screws by hand, and then gradually tighten them using the 'diagonal tightening method'. - Connect the Seat to the Pneumatic Rod
Lift the seat with the installed tray, align the center hole of the tray with the top of the pneumatic rod, and smoothly fit it vertically downwards. - Connect the Backrest and Armrests
For pre-installed backrests, adjust them to be vertical; for split backrests, secure them to the metal frame at the back of the seat with screws. Align the armrests with the screw holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them with the provided screws, ensuring left-right symmetry. - Install Additional Components
Insert the headrest rod into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and rotate it to the desired height; attach the lumbar support (if present) to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or buckles; firmly press the footrest casters into the end holes of the chair legs until a 'click' sound is heard.
III. Post-installation Inspection and Adjustment
- Key Inspection
Shake the chair to test for looseness at the connections; operate the lift, tilt, and rotation functions to confirm smoothness; check for exposed screws and whether the wheels are securely fastened. If abnormalities are found, retighten or adjust as necessary. - Personalized Adjustment
Adjust the tilt force of the backrest through the knob under the seat; set the headrest height to be level with the earlobes; align the width of the armrests with the naturalไธๅ position of the elbows. It is recommended to check the tightness of the screws monthly to extend the service life.
