YB Office Chair Installation

Admin October 12, 2026

For the installation of a regular YB office chair, you can refer to the following steps. Specific details should be based on the product manual or brand after-sales guidance:

  1. Prepare Parts and Tools Before installation, check all the parts in the list, including a five-star base, wheels, a gas lift, a seat, a backrest, armrests, a screw package (containing short, medium, and long screws and nuts), and a footrest component (if applicable). Also, prepare tools such as a cross-head screwdriver. Ensure the installation environment is clean to avoid losing parts.

  2. Install the Base and Wheels Insert the wheels vertically into the slots of the five-star base, making sure each wheel is fully embedded and not loose. If the wheels are casters, check if they rotate smoothly to prevent usage issues due to improper installation.

  3. Secure the Seat and the Seat Plate Align the seat plate (the part that connects the seat to the gas lift) with the mounting holes on the bottom of the seat. Insert four short screws from the underside of the seat plate through the holes in the seat and tighten them. Note that the screws should be tightened in a cross-step manner to prevent the seat plate from tilting and affecting subsequent installation.

  4. Install the Backrest Rod Position the groove of the backrest rod upwards and align it with the mounting holes at the back of the seat plate. Fix it with medium screws. Make sure the direction of the backrest rod is correct; otherwise, the backrest may tilt or be unable to adjust its angle.

  5. Insert the Gas Lift and the Five-Star Base Insert the gas lift (the part that controls the seat height adjustment) into the central hole of the seat plate, ensuring the rod is vertical and the bottom fits snugly against the seat plate. Then, place the five-star base over the lower end of the gas lift and press gently until it is fully engaged.

  6. Secure the Backrest and the Footrest Component Insert the backrest rod into the side holes of the seat plate and tighten it with nuts. If the chair has a footrest function, insert the footrest rod into the footrest frame, use two small screws to block the small holes at the end of the rod (to prevent the footrest from being pulled out due to excessive force), and then connect the footrest frame to the bottom of the seat.

  7. Install the Armrests and Test Use long screws to fix the left and right armrests on both sides of the seat, paying attention to left-right symmetry. After installation, check if all the screws are tightened, adjust the gas lift to test the seat height adjustment function, and test if the backrest angle adjustment is smooth.

  8. Handle Special Functions If it is a 9-point massage model, insert the power massage cable into the reserved socket on the seat and connect it to the power supply to test if the massage function works properly. It is recommended to read the massage function manual before the first use to avoid equipment damage due to incorrect operation.

Tip: Different models of YB office chairs may have structural differences. If you encounter problems such as misaligned buckles or screw hole deviations during installation, stop the installation immediately and contact the brand's after-sales service to avoid damaging the parts by forcing assembly.
