YB Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 12, 2026

The following are the general steps for assembling the YB office chair:

I. Inventory of Parts Before assembly, carefully check all components to ensure the quantity and specifications meet the requirements. Standard components include:

  • Casters: 5 pieces, used for mobility at the base of the five-star foot.
  • Gas Lift Cylinder: 1 piece, connecting the five-star foot to the seat, enabling height adjustment.
  • Five-Star Foot: 1 piece, supporting the chair structure.
  • Control Mechanism Tray: 1 piece, integrating the height adjustment control handle, installed at the bottom of the seat.
  • Seat: 1 piece, including the cushion and backrest. If any components are missing or damaged, contact the supplier promptly for replacements to avoid affecting subsequent installation.

II. Installing the Tray

  1. Flip the seat upside down to expose the screw holes beneath the cushion.
  2. Use a screwdriver to remove any pre-installed screws (if present), and align the control mechanism tray with the slots or screw holes at the bottom of the cushion.
  3. Tighten the screws again to ensure a secure connection between the tray and the seat, with no looseness or misalignment. Note: The orientation of the tray must match the intended use direction of the seat to avoid reverse installation, which could disable the height adjustment function.

III. Installing the Casters

  1. Place the five-star foot flat on the ground, ensuring the five ends are facing upwards.
  2. Align each caster with the slots or holes on the five-star foot and press firmly until they are securely seated at the bottom.
  3. Gently shake the five-star foot to check if the casters are properly installed to prevent them from coming loose during use. Key Point: All casters must be installed before proceeding to the next step to ensure the stability of the chair's mobility.

IV. Connecting the Gas Lift Cylinder to the Seat

  1. Place the five-star foot upright on the ground and insert the thicker end with a hole of the gas lift cylinder into the central connection hole of the five-star foot, ensuring full insertion.
  2. Lift the seat (including the installed tray) and align the holes at the bottom of the tray with the top end of the gas lift cylinder.
  3. Slowly press down on the seat to insert the top end of the gas lift cylinder into the tray's hole. A clicking sound or a feeling of tightness indicates successful installation. Tip: This step requires two people to collaborate to prevent the seat from tipping over or damaging the gas lift cylinder.

V. Checking Safety and Functionality

  1. Sit on the chair and hold the handle of the control mechanism tray, pressing up and down to test if the height adjustment is smooth.
  2. Rock the seat back and forth to check the stability of the connection between the five-star foot and the casters.
  3. Rotate the seat to confirm that there are no unusual noises or jams in the connection between the gas lift cylinder and the tray. If Issues Are Found: Recheck if all components are properly installed or contact after-sales service for assistance.
