Yangtze River Office Chair Installation
The installation of the Yangtze River office chair can be carried out by referring to the following steps to ensure standardized operation and guarantee safety and stability during use:

1. Inventory the Parts Before installation, carefully check the parts list to ensure that all components are complete and undamaged. Standard parts include: 5 casters, 1 pneumatic lift rod, 1 five-star base, 1 control mechanism tray for height adjustment, 1 seat (including cushion and backrest), and some models may include armrests, backrest rods, and matching screws (such as long screws, short screws, nuts, etc.). If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the supplier promptly for replacement.
2. Install the Tray Turn the seat upside down to expose the bottom structure of the cushion. Depending on the design, there are two methods of operation:
- Method 1: First, remove the pre-installed screws under the cushion. Align the tray with the slots or screw holes at the bottom of the cushion, reinsert the screws, and tighten them to ensure a secure connection between the tray and the cushion.
- Method 2: Use four short screws to directly fix the tray to the bottom of the cushion. Pay attention to aligning the screw holes to avoid tilting. The tray is the core component for controlling height adjustment and rotation. After installation, check that its movement is flexible without any jamming.
3. Install the Casters and Five-Star Base Press each of the five casters onto the ends of the five legs of the five-star base respectively, ensuring that the caster clips are fully embedded in the leg grooves without any looseness or wobbling. The caster material is usually hard plastic or rubber. Avoid applying excessive force during installation to prevent the clips from breaking. The five-star base, as the support foundation of the chair, should be placed on a flat surface to prevent the chair from tilting due to an uneven floor.
4. Connect the Core Components This step requires selecting the appropriate method according to the chair design:
- Basic Installation: Place the five-star base upright. Insert the thicker end with a hole of the pneumatic lift rod vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring sufficient insertion depth. Then, align the seat with the installed tray with the other end of the lift rod and slowly press down until it is fully engaged.
- Complex Installation: If the chair includes components such as a backrest and armrests, follow the sequence below:
- After inserting the pneumatic lift rod into the five-star base, turn the seat over so that the tray faces up. Insert the upper end of the lift rod into the center hole of the tray.
- Install the backrest rod: Insert the backrest rod into the dedicated hole at the back of the tray and tighten it with a nut.
- Install the backrest: Align the backrest mesh or backrest panel with the backrest rod and fix it with screws.
- Install the armrests: Align the armrests with the reserved holes on both sides of the tray. Insert long screws from the bottom up through the holes and tighten them. Pay attention to keeping the left and right armrests in the same direction to avoid installing them backward.
- Check all screws: Ensure that there are no missing or loose screws, especially at the connections between the backrest and armrests, which require special reinforcement.
5. Check Safety and Functionality After installation, conduct a functional test:
- Height Adjustment Test: Sit on the chair and adjust the chair height using the tray handle. Observe whether the height adjustment is smooth without any jamming or abnormal noises.
- Rotation Test: Gently push the chair with your hand and check whether the five-star base and casters rotate in coordination without any deviation or jamming.
- Load-Bearing Test: Apply a relatively large pressure for a short time (such as standing on the chair surface) to confirm that there is no deformation or looseness in the structure. If any abnormalities are found, stop using the chair immediately and recheck the installation steps. If necessary, contact a professional for repair.
