The disassembly of the Xiaoyao office chair can be carried out with reference to the following steps. Be cautious and follow safety regulations during operation:

1. Separate the seat and the backrest
   First, check the connection method between the backrest and the seat. If it is a split-type structure, fixed screws are usually visible at the joint between the lower part of the backrest and the seat. Use a screwdriver of the corresponding model to unscrew them, and then the two can be separated. If the backrest is of an integrated design (such as some ergonomic chairs), this step is not required. Pay attention to the screw specifications during operation to avoid screw slippage or thread damage.

2. Remove the armrests
   The armrests are generally fixed to both sides of the seat with screws. After laying the chair flat, observe the connection points between the armrests and the seat, and use a screwdriver to unscrew all the fixed screws. If there are additional connection points between the armrests and the backrest (such as hidden screws), they need to be removed simultaneously. When taking off the armrests, handle them gently to prevent scratching the seat material.

3. Separate the gas lift and the base
   Turn the chair completely upside down so that the base faces upwards. There are two connection methods between the gas lift and the base:

• Snap-ring fixation: Use needle-nose pliers or a special tool to loosen the snap-ring at the bottom of the gas lift, and then pull the gas lift straight upwards.
• Screw fixation: Unscrew the screws at the connection point between the gas lift and the base to separate them.
  If the height adjuster is damaged (such as a stuck wheel), handle it according to the type: for the snap-type, use a nail to hook the iron core snap-ring and tap it gently to remove it; for the screw-type, simply unscrew the screw and then rotate the wheel to remove it.

4. Remove the casters
   The casters are usually directly snapped into the caster sockets on the base. Hold the casters with both hands and pull them outwards with force, or insert a screwdriver into the gap between the casters and the base and gently pry the edges. If the casters are rusted and stuck, spray a small amount of rust remover and wait for 5-10 minutes before operating to avoid forced pulling that may deform the base.

5. Disassemble the base

• Four-leg structure: Turn the chair over, find the screw holes at the bottom of the chair legs, and use a screwdriver to unscrew all the fixed screws to separate the chair legs from the base.
• Sliding design: Lift the chair legs upwards to disengage them from the base snaps, and then slowly pull out the chair legs along the slide rail direction.
  Pay attention to balance during operation to prevent the chair legs from suddenly falling off and injuring hands and feet.

Precautions:

• Prepare tools such as rust remover and a screwdriver set before disassembly, and wear gloves to prevent scratches.
• If the screws are rusted or the parts are stuck tightly, do not use brute force. You can repeatedly spray rust remover or use a hot air blower to heat and soften them.
• For complex structures (such as the inside of the gas lift), it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel to avoid the risk of explosion caused by self-disassembly.
• Keep all the disassembled screws and parts and place them in order for subsequent assembly.
