Xiaobahua Office Chair

Admin October 17, 2026

Xiaobahua can be used to make office chairs and possesses various excellent characteristics suitable for furniture making, but there are also some drawbacks that require attention.

Advantages

  • Excellent Material Properties: Xiaobahua is a hardwood from Africa. Its heartwood is reddish-brown with dark streaks, featuring a fine and unique wavy grain, giving it a beautiful appearance. This wood has a high density and hardness. After drying treatment, it has excellent stability. Office chairs made from it are less likely to deform, ensuring long-term use in terms of quality and appearance. Additionally, Xiaobahua has a relatively high yield rate and a stable supply, making it cost-effective for making office chairs and other furniture.
  • Good Processing Performance: Xiaobahua performs well in processing. It is easy to work with, and after planing, the surface is smooth, providing a delicate touch for office chairs. Moreover, it has good adhesion for painting and strong nail-holding capacity, which is beneficial for the surface treatment and structural assembly of office chairs, ensuring their quality and durability.
  • Related Office Products Available: There are already office-related chair products made of Xiaobahua on the market, such as rosewood small stools, solid wood teak-colored Xiaobahua small square stools for Chinese-style home use as shoe-changing stools, low stools, and square living room stools. These products to some extent prove the feasibility and popularity of Xiaobahua in the office furniture field.

Disadvantages

  • Prone to Cracking During Drying: Xiaobahua is prone to cracking during the drying process. This requires manufacturers to take effective drying treatment measures during processing to reduce the risk of cracking and ensure the quality of office chairs.
  • Not a National Standard Rosewood: Xiaobahua does not belong to the national standard rosewood. Some merchants may try to deceive consumers by calling it East African Padauk. Consumers need to be careful and avoid being misled when making purchases.
  • Grain and Odor Characteristics: Its grain is relatively straight and lacks the unique ghost-face grain of traditional rosewood, which may not meet the requirements of some consumers who have specific preferences for grain patterns. In addition, Xiaobahua has a slight sour smell when freshly sawn, but it will disappear after being placed for a while.
