Wrench Office Chair

Admin October 13, 2026

The wrench in an office chair is mainly used to adjust different functions of the seat, commonly including adjusting the seat height and the forward and backward tilt angles of the seat.

In the design of most office chairs, the wrench is an important adjusting component. Generally, there are two wrenches set under an office chair, each undertaking different adjusting tasks. One wrench is specifically used to adjust the seat height. When a user needs to raise the seat, they just need to pull the wrench upwards, and the seat will gradually rise with the help of the internal pneumatic rod or mechanical structure; if they want to lower the seat height, they pull the wrench downwards, and the seat will descend accordingly. This height-adjusting function can meet the needs of users of different heights, ensuring that they can place their feet steadily on the ground while using the office chair, maintain a comfortable sitting posture, and reduce physical fatigue and injuries caused by improper sitting postures.

The other wrench is used to adjust the forward and backward tilt angles of the seat. By pulling this wrench, users can adjust the seat to a suitable forward or backward tilt state according to their work requirements and comfort level. For example, when engaging in work that requires concentration and a forward-leaning body, such as drawing or writing, the seat can be tilted forward appropriately to bring the body closer to the work surface and improve work efficiency; when resting or doing some more relaxed work, such as reading or thinking, the seat can be tilted backward to allow the body to relax and be better supported.

For high-end office chairs like executive chairs, they are usually equipped with three mechanical devices, and the wrench also plays a key adjusting role. The wrench on an executive chair is mainly used to adjust the seat height. Its operation method is similar to that of an ordinary office chair. By rotating the wrench upwards or downwards, the seat height will change accordingly to meet the personalized needs of different users for seat height.
