Workshop Assembly of Office Chairs
The steps for assembling office chairs in the workshop are as follows:

I. Installation of Basic Components
- Installation of Chair Wheels and Five-Star Base: Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-star base one by one. After ensuring that each wheel is properly installed, flip the five-star base so that the wheels face downward. Check that the wheels rotate smoothly to avoid any jamming.
- Installation of the Pneumatic Rod: Align the thicker end of the pneumatic rod with the central hole of the five-star base, place it vertically, and press lightly to secure it. The pneumatic rod is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so ensure that it is firmly connected to the five-star base without any looseness.
II. Connection of the Seat Cushion and the Chassis
- Chassis Positioning: Place the chassis on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the chassis (usually aligned with markings or grooves), and align it with the four screw holes.
- Screw Fixation: Screw in the four B screws one by one, adopting the method of 'first tightening 3-4 turns and then tightening them one by one' to avoid tilting the chassis or deforming the seat cushion due to unilateral force. Use a torque wrench to control the force in this step to ensure that the connection strength meets the standard.
III. Fixation of the Seat Cushion and the Pneumatic Rod
Align the chassis hole at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top end of the pneumatic rod, insert it vertically, and press lightly to the bottom to ensure that the pneumatic rod and the chassis are fully engaged. Check that the seat cushion is level in this step to avoid seat wobbling due to installation deviations.
IV. Installation of the Backrest and Armrests
- Preliminary Fixation of the Backrest: Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the installation positions of the armrests on both sides of the seat cushion, insert them vertically, and push lightly until a clicking sound is heard, confirming the preliminary connection between the backrest and the seat cushion.
- Screw Reinforcement:
- Use two C screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket upwards, ensuring that the screws are screwed in to the same depth.
- Use two wrenches to lock and fix the backrest and the seat cushion bracket with D screws, forming a double reinforcement structure to prevent the backrest from loosening.
V. Installation of Armrests and Headrest
- Armrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, and release the button after hearing a 'click' sound to confirm that the armrests are locked.
- Headrest Installation:
- Place the headrest vertically in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press it to fit with the backrest, and adjust it to a comfortable height.
- Screw in the two E screws through the headrest fixing clips and tighten them, also adopting the method of 'first tightening 3-4 turns and then tightening them one by one' to ensure that the headrest is stable and does not wobble.
VI. Final Product Inspection and Zoning Management
After assembly is complete, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the office chair, including functional tests such as wheel rotation, pneumatic rod lifting and lowering, backrest adjustment, and armrest locking. The workshop should be divided into standardized operational zones, such as a seat assembly area and a finished product storage area, to ensure an orderly process. Each finished product must be carefully inspected before shipment to prevent defective products from entering the market.
