Disposal of Waste Old Office Chairs
There are several ways to dispose of waste old office chairs, including repurposing, hiring movers, shredding with a twin-shaft shredder, processing through government scrapping procedures, and handing over to second-hand goods recycling companies.

Repurposing: For some waste old office chairs with intact structures but damaged appearances or partial functions, creative repurposing can give them new uses. For example, use an angle grinder to cut off the legs of the waste chair, place it on the surface of a not-yet-hardened cement component, press down hard on the seat to embed it into the mortar, then continue to pour cement slurry into the gaps. After it has completely hardened, spray the entire chair with black paint and evenly brush the wooden components underneath with paint. In this way, the originally discarded office chair can be transformed into a unique decorative item or a practical small object, achieving resource reuse.
Hiring movers: In some areas, such as Chengdu, there are workers who specialize in moving old office desks and chairs. They can disassemble the waste desks, chairs, and benches and clear them away. This method is suitable for individuals or units that do not have the ability or time to handle waste old office chairs on their own.
Shredding with a twin-shaft shredder: For the disposal of a large number of waste old office chairs, a twin-shaft shredder can be used. Throw the waste office chairs into the twin-shaft shredder, and they will be shredded into small pieces in a few seconds through roller extrusion. The equipment can also be equipped with a conveyor belt for material discharge, facilitating the separation of different materials such as iron and sponge for classified resource recycling.
Processing through government scrapping procedures: If the office chairs are scrapped by the government, they will be processed in accordance with the fixed asset scrapping procedures. This usually includes filling out a scrapping application, approval, asset write-off, and other steps to ensure that the disposal of waste old office chairs complies with relevant regulations and procedures.
Handing over to second-hand goods recycling companies: Second-hand goods recycling companies have diverse ways of handling old furniture. On the one hand, they will select furniture that can be reused for second-hand office furniture recycling or donation, extending the service life of the furniture. On the other hand, for furniture that cannot be reused, they will hand it over to government-designated renewable resource recycling companies for processing. During the processing, an inventory check and registration with the competent equipment department are required, and a scrapping application should be submitted. Finally, it should be approved by the deputy general manager in charge to ensure the standardization and legality of the processing.
