USB Office Chair
A USB office chair is an office chair integrated with USB charging functionality, primarily designed to meet the charging needs of mobile devices in meeting, teaching, or office settings. Common types include multifunctional auditorium chairs and specially designed vehicle-derived office chairs.

Multifunctional USB-equipped auditorium chairs are currently the most widely used type of USB office chairs, with their core design focused on addressing the charging pain points in public settings. These chairs typically integrate USB ports on the armrests or the sides of the seats, with some high-end models also featuring a combination of USB and five-hole power outlets, and even the option to install low-voltage fast-charging modules. For example, in large conference rooms or lecture halls, participants or students can directly charge their phones, tablets, and other devices through the USB ports on the armrests, avoiding the inconvenience caused by insufficient battery power. The technical implementation mainly relies on built-in power management modules that connect to external power sources through concealed cables, ensuring both safety and aesthetics. Additionally, some models support fast-charging protocols and are compatible with the fast-charging needs of mainstream devices, but attention should be paid to voltage stability to avoid damaging the devices.
The Toyota Crown office chair represents another design approach, which involves transforming automotive seating technology into office solutions through cross-industry collaboration. Developed jointly by Toyota and the Japanese office furniture brand Itoki, this chair is based on the front seats of the Crown model. It retains the core functions of the original car seats, such as electric adjustment, ventilation, heating, and lumbar support, while transforming the seatbelt buckle into a USB charging port. This design not only maintains the ergonomic advantages of automotive seats but also enhances the practicality of office settings through functional innovation. For example, users can charge their laptops or phones through the USB port on the side of the seat while enjoying the comfort provided by the ventilation and heating functions. However, such products are usually positioned as high-end, with relatively high prices, and require specific power environments for use.
The common feature of these two types of USB office chairs is that they enhance convenience by integrating charging functionality, but they are suitable for different scenarios: auditorium chairs are more suitable for public spaces, while vehicle-derived chairs are more focused on personal office or high-end meeting scenarios. When choosing, factors such as the number of ports, charging power, and budget should be considered based on actual needs.
