Unit Chair and Office Chair
The office chairs used in units cover various types, and there are considerations regarding safety and installation.

In terms of types, office chairs can be classified into narrow and broad categories. Narrowly defined, they refer to the backrest chairs used for desk work in a sitting position. Broadly defined, they include executive chairs, staff chairs, etc. Among them, ergonomic chairs are quite special, characterized by adjustability. The adjustable parts cover seat height, neck pillow, armrests, front and back of the seat cushion, lumbar support, etc. Theoretically, this adjustability aims to provide support during long periods of sitting. An excellent ergonomic chair should automatically follow the user's movements after the initial adjustment, fitting the body closely regardless of the user's posture, and providing comfortable support.
In terms of safety, some office chairs have potential safety hazards. For example, on March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada recalled office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which could lead to falls. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation found 15 batches of non-compliant products during national supervision and inspection of office chairs, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States recalled WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a risk of falling. These cases remind units to pay attention to product quality and safety when purchasing and using office chairs.
Regarding installation, different models of office chairs have different installation methods. When installing a 1012A office chair, prepare the corresponding materials, first install the base casters and seat armrests, then use screw C according to the video instructions, install screw D on the inside, and insert screw E into the base after placing it in the washer. When installing a 1033A office chair, also prepare the materials, use screws according to the video instructions, insert screw J after placing it in the washer, then fix it with screw L, and use screw K for installing the armrests. Units should strictly follow the installation instructions when installing office chairs to ensure correct installation and guarantee safety during use.
