Admin October 08, 2026

Office chairs can be mainly classified into types based on narrow and broad definitions, as well as by usage scenarios, as detailed below:

From a narrow definition, office chairs refer to backrest chairs used by individuals in a seated position while performing desk work. These chairs are typically designed with a focus on comfort and support to meet the needs of prolonged desk work, with their backrests providing certain support to the waist and back to alleviate physical fatigue.

Office chairs under a broad definition encompass a wider range, including all chairs used in offices. Among them, executive chairs are generally used by senior management personnel in companies. They are usually designed in a luxurious and grand manner, often using high-grade leather materials, with relatively large sizes and comfortable seating experiences, capable of showcasing the status and identity of the users. Manager chairs are suitable for middle-level management personnel. In terms of design and materials, they are slightly inferior to executive chairs but still offer good comfort and support. Reception chairs are mainly used for receiving visiting guests. Their design emphasizes aesthetics and simplicity, often coordinated with the overall decoration style of the office, and come in a variety of materials such as leather and mesh. Staff chairs are used by ordinary employees for daily office work, focusing on practicality and cost-effectiveness, with relatively simple designs that meet basic office needs. Conference chairs are used in conference rooms to facilitate seating for participants during meetings. They generally have lightweight and movable features, making it convenient to arrange them according to meeting requirements. Visitor chairs are specially prepared for visiting guests, usually placed in reception areas and other places, with a design focus on comfort and aesthetics. Training chairs are used in training venues, featuring foldable and easily storable characteristics, facilitating organization and storage after training sessions. Ergonomic chairs are designed based on ergonomic principles, better fitting the human body's curves and providing precise support to various body parts, effectively reducing fatigue and injuries caused by prolonged sitting, suitable for individuals who work for extended periods.

Classified by usage scenarios, work chairs are suitable for workplaces such as production workshops. These chairs usually have strong durability and stability, capable of adapting to relatively complex and harsh work environments. Student chairs are suitable for schools and conference venues, etc. Their design emphasizes practicality and comfort to meet the needs of students for long-term learning. Computer chairs are widely used in office environments. They have a small volume and occupy little space, making it convenient to flexibly place and use them in limited office spaces.
