Turn Waste into Treasure to Make Office Chairs
You can turn waste like cola cans or beverage bottles into treasure to make office chairs. Here are two common methods of making them:
Method 1: Making with cola cans
First, collect a sufficient number of cola cans to ensure they meet the structural requirements of the office chair. Remove the tops and bottoms of the cola cans to get rid of the parts that are not easy to process. Then, cut and flatten the processed cola cans to transform them from their original cylindrical shape into a flat form. After that, use a wave-forming machine to roll and shape the flattened cola cans. Through the processing of the wave-forming machine, the surface of the cola cans will develop a wavy texture. This texture not only increases the strength of the material but also enhances the comfort and aesthetics of the office chair. Finally, assemble the shaped cola can materials according to a certain design to form the seat and backrest of the office chair, completing the production of the office chair.
Method 2: Making with beverage bottles (PET bottles)
Step 1: Prepare multiple PET bottles, with the quantity depending on the size of the required office chair. Take seven PET bottles first, place one in the middle as the central support, and arrange the other six around it. Fix them together with tape to form a basic circular structure. Then, add a second layer of PET bottles around this basic structure and fix them with tape as well. Increasing the number of layers can enhance the structural stability. Next, prepare plywood, cut it into circular shapes, and connect them to the top and bottom of the PET bottle ring respectively to provide reinforcement and support. Wrap soft materials such as polyester fiber cotton around the bottles and fix them well with fixing tools to improve the comfort of the office chair. After that, add filling materials on the top to make the seat softer. Finally, make a chair cover and put it on the office chair to complete the entire production process. One advantage of this small chair made from PET bottles is that you can adjust the size of the office chair by adding or removing layers of bottles to meet different usage needs.
