Uneven Sitting of Office Chairs
Uneven sitting of office chairs can be caused by issues with the wheels, loose components, the five-star base, the gas lift, the seat cushion, the floor, or the chair legs, and can be resolved through targeted repairs.

Wheel Issues
Check if the wheels are level when the chair is placed upright and upside down. If the wheel feet are bent, broken, or tangled with debris, it can cause the chair to tilt. Repair Method: Clear debris from the wheel axles, replace damaged wheels (such as TPE silent universal wheels), apply lubricant (such as WD-40 or Vaseline) during installation, tap with a rubber mallet until fully inserted into the base, and finally test for smooth rolling.Loose Components/Installation Issues
Loose screws are a common cause, especially at the armrests, chassis connections, or where the five-star base connects to the gas lift. Repair Method: Tighten all screws with a screwdriver or wrench, and secure them clockwise after adding lubricant; if the screw holes are worn, fill them with white glue and toothpicks or thin wooden sticks for reinforcement; for new chairs, adjust with rubber pads if the floor is uneven.Five-Star Base/Wheel Assembly Issues
Observe if all five wheels are touching the ground, shake the wheels to check for looseness, and inspect the five-star base for cracks or deformation. Repair Method: Ensure the wheels are fully inserted or tightened, and adjust the five-star base to a level position.Gas Lift Issues
A damaged gas lift can cause the chair to tilt left or right or sink automatically. Repair Method: When replacing the gas lift, use a rubber mallet to tap the chair legs for disassembly, avoiding direct impact on the gas lift; if the hydraulic rod cannot be raised or lowered, clean the piping, add hydraulic oil, or replace the spring.Seat Cushion Issues
Press the seat cushion to check for sagging or uneven firmness, and inspect the frame underneath for breaks. Repair Method: Repair or replace the seat cushion based on the extent of damage.Floor or Chair Leg Issues
An uneven floor or worn chair legs can cause the chair to tilt. Repair Method: Use rubber pads to elevate shorter chair legs, or use an angle grinder/sandpaper to sand down longer chair legs; a more convenient method is to install adjustable feet and rotate them to fine-tune the height for different floors.
