Swivel Office Chair Installation
The installation of swivel and office chairs typically involves the following steps, with specific details varying slightly depending on the model:

1. Install the casters and chair base
This is the foundational step. Insert each chair wheel (caster) into the five-pronged mounting holes on the chair base, ensuring each wheel is fully embedded. After insertion, flip the chair base so that the five prongs face upwards, then vertically align the thicker end of the gas lift cylinder with the center hole of the chair base. Some models may require installing the casters onto the chair base first, then inserting the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the chair base; adjust the order according to the accessory design. The gas lift cylinder is the core component supporting seat height adjustment; it must be kept vertical during installation to avoid damage from tilting.
2. Secure the chassis and seat
Place the chassis (which includes components for controlling height adjustment and rotation) on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to the chassis orientation (usually indicated by markings or grooves for alignment). After aligning the screw holes between the seat and the chassis, use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns initially (to avoid misalignment from tightening all at once), then tighten all screws sequentially. The connection between the chassis and the seat must be secure; otherwise, it may affect seat stability.
3. Connect the backrest and seat
Align the seat with the top of the gas lift cylinder and insert it into the chassis hole, ensuring the gas lift cylinder fits snugly with the chassis. Then, install the backrest: align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the seat, insert them, and first secure the bottom of the backrest with screws from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Next, align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat brackets and secure them with locking screws. Some models may require installing the armrest brackets first before securing the backrest; refer to the instruction manual for order adjustments.
4. Install the armrests and headrest
For armrest installation, typically press the button below the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets respectively; a 'click' sound indicates the latch is in place. For headrest installation, place it in the middle at the top of the backrest, press the headrest mounting area to fit it against the backrest, then insert a screw through the headrest fixing latch (some models feature a latch design without screws) to complete the fixation. Ensure the armrests and headrest are installed symmetrically to avoid affecting usage comfort.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check all accessories (such as screws, tools) to avoid omissions.
- Different models (such as Jinyexing A-10) may involve additional steps (such as leg installation, armrest cover adjustments); strictly follow the instruction manual.
- Avoid over-tightening screws during installation to prevent accessory cracking.
- Choose gas lift cylinders that meet safety standards to prevent explosion risks.
